I want to send a thousand little flowers to who ever did the graphic for People's Pantry. Looks so nice 😍

Ever wonder how The People’s Pantry started, or what our everyday processes look like or the politics and ethics guiding our work? You're in luck! Local podcast, Atlas of Resistance, did a feature on us, with two of our six cofounders, and it has all the answers to your questions!

We started with a Facebook post and 6 people cooking for their neighbours. Now we are a mass network of volunteers across Toronto/Three Fires Territories who have uplifted more than 26,000 families since March 2020. Listen to cofounders and talk about how we got here and what keeps us motivated.

"For us, the work we do is embedded in the identities we represent, not only as people of colour, but as people who are not all heterosexual, who come from different class backgrounds…we bring in these identities in order to be able to do our work and are very contentious about challenging our own biases, how we relate to each other, relate to people who are different from us…this work is active, not only in the sense that we provide food for people but because we are constantly thinking about how we can improve." -

New episode of the show is out!
