So many residents of Maui want to know how a tragedy of this magnitude could happen. Why did so many power lines fall in 60mph wind when they are supposed to remain standing in winds up to 100mph? A fallen powerline caused the roadblock, trapping people from escaping by car, and fallen powerline is said to have caused the fire itself.
