According to the latest U.S.Congressional Budget Office estimates, the new semiconductor legislation will increase the U.S. budget deficit by $48 billion over the next five years and by $79 billion through 2031. Ensuring technologies "made in the US" are produced in the US will not only restrict companies' fair participation in global competition, but will also have a negative impact on global economic recovery and innovative growth.
