Jammu and Kashmir police in Darhal Rajouri booked a notorious element for voilation of District Magistrate's order by using *Virtual Private Networking* App in his personal mobile phone .
Accused have been identified as Mazhar Iqbal son of Azhar Iqbal age 30 years resident of Village Dhanore jaralan, Tehsil and District Rajouri who has been booked in Case FIR no 32/ 2024 under section 188/IPC at PS Darhal.
Police said that subject individual was intercepted by a Naka Party of PS darhal under the supervision of SHO PS Darhal Insp. Habib Pathan at Dodaj area of darhal and upon checking was found Installed with *Thunder VPN* application in his personal mobile phone.
It is pertinent to mention here that District Magistrate Rajouri vide order no DMR/JC/2024-25/122-28 dated 24-04-2024 has suspended the usage of all kinds of VPNs till the culmination of Lok sabha elections in the entire District.
It is further added during past two days 02 Cases of this nature have been registered in the District 01 at PS kandi and 01 case at PS Darhal for such type of violations and in future more action would be initiated against such anti-social elements .

In a major action against drugs peddling and to tighten noose against those involved in this unlawful act, Jammu and Kashmir police has seized / attached property worth crores of rupees in Rajouri town.
The property is linked in a case of NDPS that is registered in police station Rajouri.
Police said that the property is related to accused namely Vikal Chogga son of Vimal Chogga resident of Ward 12 Rajouri.
He is booked in a case FIR no 380/2023 U/Ss 8/21/22/25/27 - A of NDPS Act in PS Rajouri.
The said property comprising of multi storey business establishment is situated in the heart of the Rajouri city is valued at around 1 crore and 74 lakhs rupees.
The attached property is four storied and is situated in the heart of city.
Police said that the mentioned accused had erected this empire from the money he accumulated by selling drugs to the local youths.
One Eco car valued at 7 lakh rupees bearing registration number JK11D 3289 also stand attached in the case earlier.
The action of attachment / seizure of property was made by a police team headed by Additional SP Rajouri Musadiq Basu alongwith Deputy SP Headquarter Ashwani Sharma, Inspector Aejaz Ahmed Wani, PSI Sahil Choudhary alongwith Executive Magistrate Sham Lal.
SSP Rajouri Amritpal Singh (IPS) said that Rajouri Police reiterates it's commitment towards eradication of drugs peddling menace from society and tighten noose against those involved in it.
More similar action in times to come is expected, he said.
SSP Rajouri said that there is zero tolerance policy of J&K Police against drug peddlers and it is evident from massive action taken in Rajouri district in past.

A man has been arrested by police in Rajouri alongwith consignment of Charas like substance.
Arrest has been made from Gurdan village road near Rajouri town.
Police in an official statement said that a team of police headed by Incharge Police Post Rajouri city, PSI Sahil Choudhary under the supervision of SHO Rajouri Mohammad Showket Chowdhary and Deputy SP Headquarter Mudassir Hussain was on routine naka duty on Gurdan road when an Ecco vehicle JK11F 2328 was signalled to stop and on enquiry the driver of the vehicle disclosed his name as Mohd Junaid son of Mohd Sharif resident of Gadyog Khawas.
The vehicle was put to frisking under security drill when 21 rolls of Charas weighing around 410 grams alongwith cash amounting to rupees 78550 was recovered from the possession of accused person
Police said that cognizance of the matter has been taken and further investigation is going on to unearth forward and backward linkages of accused arrested.
SSP Rajouri Amritpal Singh (IPS) said that many drugs, narxotics peddlers have been arrested in Rajouri district in recent past with many have been detained under preventive measures of law and action shall remain continue.
He further said that action against drug peddlers has been prioritised in the district and there shall always be a zero tolerance policy towards peddlers.

RAJOURI, JANUARY 21: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas K***al, today visited the residences of the victims of Dhangri terrorist attack and presented appointment letters to the next of kin.
The appointments were sanctioned and announced by the Hon'ble LG JK UT, Shri Manoj Sinha.
He presented letters to Mrs Saroj Bala (mother of late Mr. Prince and Deepak), Vanshu Sharma (brother of late, Miss Samiksha Sharma), Prinka Sharma (Mother of late Shri Vihan Sharma), Shub Sharma (Son of late Shri Satish Kumar) and Neeta Devi (Wife of late Shri Shishu Pal).
Expressing his condolences to the bereaved families, the DC stated that although the loss of their loved ones can never be replaced, the District Administration is here to support them in this difficult time and will provide them with any assistance they may need.
