Brittni Huyck is back! And so is her Iron City Heat Series, so she's here to tell us all about the fourth installment, which is now available for pre-order!

The trio did their best to talk about Brit's unusally lengthy journey to finishing "Someone Like Him" and why it might be an early finale for the Iron City Heat series. But alas, KYVD maintains its reputation for business in the front and party in the back with some unexpected sidebars.

Finally, Doug checks in on the recent loss of his other best friend, a beautiful orange cat named Samwell who passed earlier this week.

We have three new acts this year and a slate of returning OGs ready to show out for local journalism this weekend. If you can make it Saturday, bring your friends, bring your family, and bring the noise for this talented group of artists who have graciously given their time for a good cause.

If you can't make it, please spread the word about the showcase and Watershed Voice, and if you have the means, become a monthly donor or make a one-time donation via our website.

Lastly, Douglas Sears Jr. and I will be returning as your hosts for the evening, which surely means a night of witty banter and moving monologues accompanied by friendship and fresh kicks.

The fourth annual Watershed Voice Artist Showcase returns this Saturday, July 13 at 6 p.m. at The Huss Project (1008 8th St.) in Three Rivers. Ten artists will perform music and poetry to benefit local, independent journalism in what some are calling the event of the summer (it's us, we're calling i...

We haven’t published a new episode of Keep Your Voice Down in 132 days but that’s about to change. Doug and I dusted off our mics and got back into the game tonight after nearly five months away, explaining where we’ve been, why it’s been so long, and what not to do when it comes to retrieving DoorDash orders or cleaning up dog p*e.

Keep an eye out for the new episode later this week, and absolutely do not, under any circumstances, keep your voice down. — Alek Haak-Frost
