Friday, Oct. 8: Once a year, on average, the sun meets Mars at the same place. It happens today at 15 degrees of Libra. The Sabian Symbol for 15 degrees of Libra is “After a storm, a boat stands in need of reconstruction.” So, the storm is the pandemic and the boat is our shared reality? It is in Libra, so the law is involved somehow. Perhaps the Federal Election will prompt a change? And it was then Prime Minister of Canada, Charles Tupper (25) weds Frances Amelia Morse (20) in Amherst, Nova Scotia.

Thursday, Aug. 19: Today, Uranus goes retrograde. When outer planets like Uranus go retrograde, their energy is intensified. So, from a few days before, and a few days after August 19th, we can expect Uranus serendipities, revelations and illuminating insights. Uranus will make us more aware of the subtle energies and information that surround us all the time, but are usually more difficult to access. When we tap into Uranus’ energies, when we align yourselves with Uranus, we are on the same frequency as the Universe, and gain incredible insight and clarity. Happy 52nd Birthday to Matthew Perry, aka Chandler Bing on “Friends” and, more recently, as Oscar Madison on “The Odd Couple”.

Wednesday, July 28: Today, Jupiter leaves Pisces and re-enters Aquarius. This is our time to revisit any “unfinished” Jupiter in Aquarius business. Hopefully, Jupiter’s brief transit through Pisces has stirred our imagination, broadened our horizons, and helped us find answers outside the box of logic and reason. Now it’s time to go back to logic and reason, and finish what we have started. On July 27, 1866 Beatrice Potter was born. She went on to write and illustrate the famous children’s books about Peter Rabbit.

Wednesday Apr. 28: The Moon moves from sexy Scorpio into fiery Sagittarius at 11:42 this morning. A stressful relationship with Mars this evening may signal a challenge for change. And it may also bring something romantic to life. Before J. K. Rowling the best-selling novelist in English was Terry Pratchett whose 40 plus volumes of Discworld were (and still are) a world-wide success. Terry was born on Apr. 28, 1948

LUWB The Local Week of June 11 2020

This week on Looking Up I look at the week of June11 through June 17 2020 including the Third Quarter Moon in Pisces on Saturday June 13.
Now to the week ahead:
Thursday 11 June: The Moon moves from forward looking Aquarius into sensitive Pisces early this morning setting up a day where challenges come from imagined threats that may look too good to be true. An old wound is healed and that makes for a sunnier day. Things wind up with a helpful surprise tonight. Jurassic Park, starring Sam Neil and Jeff Goldblum opened on June 11 1993. On June 11 2002, American Idol premiered on Fox, starring Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson.
Friday June 12: Physical energy, imaginative and clever thinking are two of the highlights to keep us busy on this sensitive end to the week. Ten years ago today, Toy Story 3 starring Tom Hanks and Tim Allen premiers at a film festival in Italy. It goes on to become the first animated picture to earn $1 Billion.
Saturday June 13: The Third Quarter Moon, with the Sun in Gemini and the Moon in Pisces, happens at 2:23 am. It pits an articulate and energetic you against your most sensitive side. A lot of this happens behind the scenes, so you may be the only one to know what’s really going on. Don’t keep secrets from yourself! On June 13 1922, Charlie Osborne began to hiccup. He continued to so for 68 years. In the beginning, Osborne’s hiccups occurred at a rate of around 40 times per minute on average. Throughout his life, this gradually slowed to about 20 hiccups per minute until they finally stopped mysteriously about one year before his death in 1991. It is estimated that he hiccupped over 430 million times in his lifetime! Eventually, he learned to suppress most of the noise of a typical hiccup by breathing methodically between hiccups, which was a technique taught to him by doctors at the Mayo Clinic.
Sunday June 14: Venus continues its rare Retrograde motion (which has been underway since May 14) and gets a friendly bump from the Moon in Aries. Charm works magic today. Charm was in the air in New York when the Rangers defeated the Vancouver Canucks in Game 7 of the 1994 Stanley Cup Finals. At one point the Canucks were up by 3 games to one. Riots ensued.
Monday June 15: The Moon in Aries signifies courage. With challenges to the Moon from Pluto, and to a lesser degree, Jupiter, courage will be of great help. There is a suggestion that depending, reputations will rise or fall. On June 15 1965, Bob Dylan released “Like a Rolling Stone” his signature song voted #1 in Rolling Stone Magazines’ Greatest Songs of All Time.
Tuesday June 16: One of the most difficult aspects in astrology is when the Moon is in a Square relationship with Saturn. Today The Moon in Ta**us is Square Saturn in Aquarius. Be aware you could put your foot in your mouth and reveal a secret you want to keep to yourself. Canada’s 9th Prime Minister, Arthur Meighen, was born in Anderson Ontario on June 16 1874. Prime Minister of Canada: from July 1920 to December 1921, and from June 1926 to September 1926.
Wednesday June 17: Ta**us is artsy. Ta**us is creative. Today, thanks to a conjunction with Uranus and helping nudges from Neptune and Mercury, Ta**us is surprisingly arty and creative. She followed her sister to World #1. Today she celebrates birthday 40. Venus Williams is a story of perseverance and never letting go – an athlete for the ages!

And that’s it for Looking Up with Bill for this week. Next week Mercury goes from Direct to Retrograde on Thursday. The Sun enters super sensitive Cancer on Saturday. And the Annular Solar Eclipse in Cancer happens on Sunday the 21st of June.

The following is a quote from two clients whose charts I have recently done: "Harvey and I just had a neat discussion. When looking at the world and all of the planets Astronomy is the Scientific outlook while Astrology is the Spiritual and connecting force of the 2. it is so neat to look at the history and development of both and how interconnected they really are. So much knowledge and wonder in both". For $40 Looking Up With Bill will deliver your natal horoscope - the Sun and Moon and all the planets when you were born plus a full prediction of the year ahead and it's effects on you. Looking up with Bill:
Podcast Week of May 10 20
This week I’ll look at the week of May 10th through May 16th 2020 which includes the Third Quarter Moon in Aquarius on Thursday May 14th.
On my podcast I’ve got another/ new look at the end of the Novel Corona virus on May 29th 2020.
The website is https://www.lookingupwithbill.com/podcasts.html
Now, the week ahead:
Sunday May 10: This day is mental! In a good way. Use your brain to clear up the clutter in there and to organize everything so it all makes sense. Then engage your whole being with the best of your imagination to develop a powerful picture of where you want to go and what you want to do. It was May 10th, 50 years ago that Bobby Orr, playing in the Stanley Cup Final, at Boston Garden, scores famous OT winner as Boston beats St. Louis Blues, 4-3 for 4-0 series sweep. This gives the Bruins its first title since 1941.
Monday May 11: Mercury is the clever player in the game of life today. First by arguing with Mars about where things should be going – especially as regards your health. But then stepping from stubborn Ta**us into fleet-footed Gemini later in the day. Ideas are on a roll and you need to keep up. And to top it all off, Saturn turns retrograde just past midnight at 1 degree of Aquarius and stays retrograde until September 20 at 25 degrees Capricorn. This is a major step in the slowing down of the Corona Pandemic. And today is Oscar’s birthday. It was May 11 1927 that Te Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences first handed out awards for Best Picture and so on, in Hollywood.
Tuesday May 12: The Moon moves into forward looking Aquarius and connects with retrograde Saturn. (It’s good to note your feelings about improving your security down the road in September.) On May 12 1994, "Pulp Fiction", directed by Quentin Tarantino and starring John Travolta, Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson premieres at the Cannes Film Festival. It won the Palme d'Or for 1994.
Wednesday May 13: At 2:44 this morning Venus turns retrograde at 21 degrees of Gemini and stays retrograde until June 26 when it turns direct at 5 degrees of Gemini. This is another significant piece to the diminishing of the Covid 19 Pandemic. And on May 13 1989, Kirby Puckett becomes the 35th player to hit 4 doubles in a game.
Thursday May 14: Jupiter turns retrograde at 27 degrees of Capricorn this morning, a few minutes after the Third Quarter Moon in Aquarius. So it’s a stubborn day where we feel like we want things to get going and – BAM – we are double-crossed somehow. Jupiter need you do this to keep the Universe in motion – but also to play a key role in the shrinking of the corona virus pandemic. Jupiter turns direct on September 14th. He was born on this day in White Plains New York in 1984. Seventy-five million is his current net worth. Facebook founder and all round stingy Ta**us, Mark Zuckerberg turns 36 today.
Friday May 15: It’s a clever day with willpower, surprises and energy to add to the mix. Good feelings and clever ideas make for moving long term plans forward. In 1517, German astrologer and astronomer, Johannes Kepler, calculates the time if his birth at 4:37 AM.
Saturday May 16: The Moon continues her transit of romantic Pisces, setting up a sexy, imaginative day where willpower keeps things on the move. And it was May 16th 1860 that the Republican Convention in Chicago nominated a tall lawyer named Abraham Lincoln for President of the United States.

And that’s Looking up with Bill for the week ahead. Join me next week for the Sun moving into Gemini and the New Moon in Gemini.
Please check out Part 2 of this Podcast – the beginning of the end of the corona virus on May 29th 2020.
And remember what Joni Mitchell said: “We are stardust. We are golden. So shine on!
