Hey I’m Hajj,

I’m 28 and you might have already guess that I love to travel. Ever since a young age I was obsessed with taking photo and documenting my life - somehow knowing that it would lead me to this lifestyle today.

I’m dyslexic so couldn’t be happier to say goodbye to exams and never looked back since leaving school at 16. Since then I studied photography and media and even graduated with a Hons degree from one of the best arts universities in the UK! 👩🏻‍🎓

I then sadly got stuck in the rat race, trying to make easy money that would fund my expensive hobby on seeing the world! This became such a huge toll on my mental health, as my creative self was stuck behind a desk dealing with constant traffic in hustle and bustle of London life. I was depressed.

By 2019 I had already visited over 20 countries, and half way through the year decided I would save up as much as possible, to go on my solo backpacking adventure.

6 hard months of saving £10k I took off on a one way ticket, having the best time of my life. Sadly this ended 7 weeks later 🦠. But I know that I would get back out there, and did exactly that. In that meantime I met the love of my life, and we embraced this adventure together.

Now being back home in London, I promised myself that I would never go back to the conventional 9-5. So I am working hard to make it my reality lifestyle!

So follow along on my journey of seeking time and financial freedom!

2 Days in Koh Phi Phi

📌SAVE this post for your Thailand adventures!

⚠️ No matter what time you arrive at the island first things first book your Maya Bay tour. My strong advice would be to go with a longtail boat and not a speedboat! If the weather conditions are bad and they try to be convinced to go on a speedboat to also visit ‘bamboo island’, then give it a miss and only visit Maya Bay. Unless you want to have a REALLY bumpy ride (people went flying).

🔸Day 1
Spend the day at relaxing at one of the most beautiful beaches in Thailand, ‘Ton Sai Beach’.

Around 3/4pm start your hike up to the ‘Phi Phi’ view points. The hardest part is getting to the first one so don’t get discouraged to go to ‘vote point 2’ (my favourite). This is where you will watch the sunset! ❗️BRING INSECT REPELLENT!

For 8:30pm head to ‘Slinky Beach Bar’ for the most epic fire show!

Food at ‘Garlic 1992 Restaurant’!!

End the night at ‘Reggae Bar’ for some hard core boxing! FREE - but you need to buy a drink!

🔸Day 2
Bright and early for your Maya Bay tour! £28.90 full day including 400bht entrance fee to Maya Bay (make sure that this is included).
As well as Maya Bay the tour will also include Pileh Lagoon, Viking Cave, Monkey Bay, and Bamboo Island.

Head to ‘Pizzeria PhiPhi’ for dinner! Banging!

Explore the the stools and get yourself a shell necklace if you haven’t already 😊 end the night at ‘Reggae Bar’ if you enjoyed it the night before.

Don’t miss a 2 night stay in Ko Phi Phi from your Thailand itinerary!

4 Days In Ao Nang/ Krabi Itinerary
📌SAVE this post for your visit

🔸Day 1
Take a short water taxi over to ‘Railay’ beach and spend most of the day there. Chill out at the two main beaches ‘Phra Nang Beach’ and ‘Railay West Beach’. Also visit Princess Cave and on the way back walk-through Monkey Trail.

For the evening head back to Ao Nang Beach for sunset and watch the fire show. Ending your evening at Ao Nang Night Market for some epic street food!

🔸Day 2
Hong Island tour!
Head to the info box located at Ao Nang beach and hire a private longtail boat (max 4 people) for £67 for the full day. Take some snacks with you as you won’t be served any food.
You’ll visit:
Hong Island/ 360 View Point
Hong Lagoon
Koh Lao Landing
Paeng Island
YOU get to choose how much time you spend in each place, make sure to spend most time on Hong Island.

End the evening grabbing some street food on the many food courts located down the main road.

🔸Day 3
Poda Island Private tour £49 (6 people, also known as 4 island tour)
This is the most popular tour in Ao Nang and the islands closest by. It is chill and a lot of snorkelling and swimming involved.
Visiting: The national parks of Chicken, Tub, Mor and Poda Island.

Head to a little food court called ‘Chill Chill Hala Food’ on google maps!

🔸Day 4
Choose to either visit the Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Sua) and the hot springs, or if you’re on a little bit more of a budget, chill by Ao Nang beach and have a stroll in the town markets.

Ao Nang is personally the best area to be located in the Krabi area. I hightly recommend that you opt for the private tours even if you are 2 people and pay a little more and it is a highly better experience.

Must Do’s Before Backpacking

📌SAVE this post for a check list before your travels!

🔸Travel Insurance
As a backpacker it hard to know exactly where you'll be or how long for. We have been using SaftyWing for a while and used it for our 5 month journey. Highly recommend for good flexibility and travel freedom- you'll never know where you end up.

🔸International Driver’s License
Take 2 passport photos with your driver's licence to the post office and get yourself the necessary licence depending on what country you will be visiting. For SEA you will need to get 2 different ones 1968 and 1926 for the cost of £5.50 each.

🔸International Master Card
HAVE MORE THAN ONE!!
Had to learn the hard way from my first backpacking trip back in 2020. But cards get lost, stolen and cracked, so always make sure to have more than one. The well known ones in the UK are...
Distribute your budget between the cards, and use them all. this will also save you money with cash withdrawal fees.

🔸Quality Backpack
This will be your 'home'.
Don't settle for a cheap backpack. As a minimal traveller suggest that you don't get anything bigger than a 40l backpack, unless you are travelling with camping gear. My Osprey 40L had been my travel home for over 3 years now and still going strong. At the time I bought it on sale for around £90 - Normally £150, keep checking up on them.

🔸Vaccines
Most vaccines need to be done at least a month before travelling.
Book an appointment with you travel clinic and let them know what destinations you will be travelling to and find out prices. I suggest that you only get the mandatory vaccines i.e. Hepatitis A and Turnus. Research on getting other vaccines in your arriving country, as it can be a lot more affordable. (Rabbis vaccine - in UK - £250, in Bangkok - £8-£10 HUGE DIFFERENCE).

3 Days in Koh Samui🇹🇭

📌SAVE this post to enjoy your time in Koh Samui!

🏨 Hotel- The Chess Samui Hotel 10/10 loved it
Great location, amazing rooms for only £19

Things to know:
Koh Samui is more of a touristic island, and a lot busier. If you are not a experiences driver then do not rent a moped. It is pricier compared to the rest of Thailand.

Day 1:
🔸Start your day early and visit the 2 unmissable temples on the island:
-Big Buddha - Free
-Wat Plai Laem - Free
🔸Spend the day at the beautiful ‘Chaweng Beach’ – maybe even consider a massage at the beach (would be a little more expensive than usual £5-£10)
🔸Lamia food court £3 per meal

Day 2:
🔸Day trip to ‘Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park’ 1,250bht/£30 A MUST DO!
🔸Mit Samui restaurant- (most affordable place we found with nice local dishes £2 per meal)

Day 3:
🔸Namuang Waterfall- try and make it to the top of 3 levels for the most stunning views on the island.
🔸Tarnim Magic Garden – 80bht/£1.80
🔸Spend the rest of the day chilling at ‘Lamai Beach’.

REMEMBER to have every day:
Fresh coconuts for 40bht/ £0.90 (never pay more)
Roti for 50bht/£1.10

This three-day itinerary offers a mix of relaxation, cultural exploration, and natural beauty, allowing you to experience some of the highlights of Koh Samui. However, keep in mind that the island has much more to offer, so if you have more time, consider extending your stay to explore further.

Secret Beach
Beach Haad Yao
Mae Haad Bay
Mae Hat Beach
🔸Go to ‘Amsterdam Bar’ for sunset – the most magical atmosphere and absolutely epic.
🔸Take a taxi to ‘Hat Rin's’ area if there are any other events on around the full moon party.

OR
Hike Khao Ra Mountain – This is a 2-3 hour hike
🔸Head to ‘Three Sixty Bar’ for sunset!

Day 3:
🔸Phaeng Waterfall National Park. You can hike to the waterfall and enjoy the lush jungle surroundings.

Koh Phangan is famous for its yoga and wellness retreats. If you're interested, you can incorporate a yoga session or spa treatment into your itinerary.

🔸Taxi prices are more expensive, so if you're not planning on renting a bike it can be quite costly.

4 Days Koh Tao Itinerary🇹🇭
📌SAVE this post for when you visit Koh Tao!

My favourite and definitely the UNMISSABLE island on your trip to Thailand. The cheapest places in the world to get become a certified diver! This is one of Thailand’s smallest islands- renting a moped is the best way of getting around.

Day 1:
🔸Breakfast in town head to freedom beach by 9/9.30am. Take a quick dip and head up to ‘John- Suwan Viewpoint’. Spend the rest of the morning at the beach. 50bht/ £1.20

🔸Head back to Sairee beach to rent some paddle boards 200bht/£4.50
🔸Go Infront of the ‘Nany Yuan Terrace’ resort for some epic sunset views.

Day2:
🔸Koh Nang Yuan – a private island located a 10 min longtail boat from Sairee beach. You can first entre at 9am with is when I suggest you get there for so you can have the view point for yourself before the tours get there. Make sure to bring snacks as they don’t have much food on the island. Spend majority of the day here chilling doing the view point and snorkelling.
NO plastic allowed.
Return longtail boat – 250bht/ £6
Entrance to the island - 250bht/ £6
🔸Go to Chu Chu’s for dinner – highly recommend the Massamum curry and Panang curry pizza.
🔸Grab some beers and head to Sairee Beach for sunset.
🔸End the night at Lotus bar to watch the fire show!

Day3:
🔸Hike the coast from Mae Haad to Chalok - Start early! A beautiful way to see the little coves and beauties of Koh Tao. It usually takes around 2 hours but will easily take a lot longer when you stop to swim, admire views and have to food/drinks!
🔸Stop at ‘Secret Bar’ for sunset and some food. Or opt to go for a pub crawl if that’s what you’re into!

Day 4:
🔸Take a chill day at Sairee beach. Go to ‘In Touch Restaurant’ for lunch!
🔸Go to the ‘Mango Viewpoint’ to see the a different presentive of the island.

When your vision board becomes your reality! 🦋

Thailand, you were so special, one of the greatest adventures of my life and you will always hold a huge part of my heart!

Since the age of 21 use to have dreams of backpacking this beautiful country. I first set off on my solo travels in 2020 after spending the majority of 2019 saving £10k (the amount I thought I needed to be able to leave on a one-way ticket). The world had other plans. But being the strong believer that I am, that everything happens for a reason.

During this time I connected so deeply with a friend - now called soulmate during covid, that we embarked on this beautiful adventure together!

Thailand changed me, my travels changed me, making me notice how I really want to live my life.
So welcome to my travels, mostly on the road with my soulmate, life as a minimalist in my
spiritual and manifestation era!

This is life with Hajj...

🗺️Grab you backpack and TRAVEL WITH US!

LISTEN UP - if you want to travel more, and making the most unforgettable memories, then this is for you!

One of the reasons people choose not to travel is because they're afraid of things that might happen, being alone and not making friends, not knowing what to do and make the best out of their time. I know, because this was me in 2019!

I kept waiting for my friends and my sister to be available to come with me, I had such a huge urge to travel but I was so afraid and NEVER even considered going solo.

In 2020 I finally did it, my first solo trip and started my travels with a GROUP TRIP! It was the best decision I could have made!

Travelling in a group helped me:
🔸Socialise with new people - allowed me to make new friends.
🔸Got me out of my comfort zone by trying new activities.
🔸Helps you learn more about yourself, what you like and dislike!
🔸Trying new foods with a guides recommendation.
🔸Helped me be more confident in exploring and seeing new places.

Group travel makes everything so simple! You get to explore with a group of like minded people with all you transport, accommodation and activates planned out for you, making the absolute most of your trip!

✈️We would LOVE to experience this with you!
