One of the PDP's AmBisyon Natin 2040 plans is to create a future where every Filipino has access to a matatag, maginhawa, and panatag na buhay.

As a result of human activities disrupting the ecology in today's world, the government gives a high priority to addressing this issue through the first medium-term plan developed by the Philippine Development Plan, which is based on a national long-term vision, or AmBisyon Natin 2040, with specific aims and aspirations for all Filipinos and the country: MATATAG, MAGINHAWA, AT PANATAG NA BUHAY PARA SA LAHAT.

Are we all waiting for a sustainable era in the Philippines?

Philippine Development Plan or PDP screams good governance, growth, and development! With its strategies such as "Malasakit," "Pagbabago," and "Patuloy na Pag-unlad, our nation has a chance to be open to more possibilities of succeeding in terms of infrastructure and economic growth.

With the proper allocation of resources, funds, and investments, the Philippines can never go wrong with its future projects and programs. Soon enough, we will not be last on the list in Southeast Asian regions. Together with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the United Nation's Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs), we can create a sustainable and advanced yet healthy environment as we still prioritize the co-existence of humans and nature.

A sustainable future does not come overnight, so stay tuned here in UM Comm Press, and let's succeed together!

Take action and recreate the previous state of our environment.

Numerous flaws and problems in our environment are brought on by human beings, who are also to blame. Right now, we're merely disregarding these global challenges, forgetting that they have a significant influence on everyone. Regardless, the Philippine Development Plan contributes to restoring our ecosystem to its previous state. With the aid of the PDP, we are able to regenerate our environment while also using our own resources.

Environmental deterioration results from a lack of action against environmental concerns. 🌳🌿🌾

Environmental challenges are becoming more evident each day, yet the Philippine government and some Filipinos chose to turn a blind eye to these serious issues. As a result, environmental problems have gotten worse. A small initiative, on the other hand, can have a big impact. There are many non-governmental organizations with the aim of serving and acting for the welfare of our environment.

ACT NOW: Help revive our environment

As individual, we need to have a helping-hand to revive our environment. Thus, we must support and be with the Philippine Development Plan to realize our collective aspirations and achieve our goal. As the Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Mr. Ernesto M. Pernia said, “Tayo na! Tuparin natin ang hangad na matatag, maginhawa, at matatag na buhay para sa lahat” (“Let us all fulfill the desire of a stable, comfortable, and stable life for everyone”).

Filipinos simply desired a comfy life in which they could afford their basic needs as well as additional necessities, such as the ability to live in their own home with their families. They want to have a stable future ahead of them, one in which they won't struggle to meet their basic demands for food, shelter, and other necessities, as well as to have an emergency fund for utilization in desperate situations.

As a student, there are limitations to what we can do, there are limits because of our inability to do the complicated things, in which we should do, being a student makes us think more to ourselves that what others can, we can, that is why preserving the environment is something within our reach, it is something that we students can easily do.

Environmental issues in the Philippines is excessively long. Environment and natural resources are at risk. Not only is the country doing not enough to address them, but its fossil fuel obsession has exacerbated the potential impacts. Without sustainable development and immediate action of the PDP in coastal areas, the country is single-handedly risking its climate, heritage, marine biodiversity and community well-being.
