It is here. Opening Day 2021. After the craziness of last year, part of me is excited. I should be. A full season of games, some fans in the stands! Opening day for me always signals hope! Hope for what could be despite all evidence that says it’s fools hope. Maybe I watched too many baseball movies as a kid. There are a bunch of games and all it takes is to get a few lucky breaks and you win. It’s is a day when what you know doesn’t matter. Play Ball!

Barrel man was a hero of mine growing up. Every game he was there in his “outfit”. It was very cold most of those games. Love that him memory is still going! I know of fireman Ed, but no real super fans of other teams.
