𝐘𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐎 𝐒𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑

Yondo Kusala Denise, also known as Yondo Sister, was born on the 1st of January, 1958, in Belgian Congo, currently known as the Democratic Republic of Congo.

She began her music career as a dancer with Zaiko Langa Langa and later with Tabu Ley's band, L'Afrisa International, in the 1970s, alongside her sister Yondo Nyota Chantal (Yondo Sisters).

She later started singing as a back-up singer in the band Lafrisa International, having been taught by Rachid King, a talent mentor, before that.

In 1989, she joined Soukouss Stars and was often referred to as "Le reine de la Soukouss," meaning the queen of Soukouss. However, she later left Soukouss and began her solo music career.

In 1991, she released her first album, "Bazo," and her other albums include Agenda, FBI, Deviation, Planete, and Derniere minute.

She can be said to have followed in the footsteps of Mbilia Bel and Tshala Muana, who also started as dancers before becoming accomplished singers.

She currently resides in Paris, France, and is a born-again Christian.

What do you remember her for? And which of her songs do you like the most?

This Song always leaves me in tears 🥹.

“REMEMBER ME”
Lucky Dube

Daddy where ever you are remember me
In what ever you do I love you
Daddy where ever you are remember me
In what ever you do I love you

You left for the city many years ago
Promised to come back
And take care of us
Many years have gone by now
Still no sign of you Daddy
Mother died of a heart attack
Many years ago when she heard
That you were married again
Now, I'm the only one left
In the family

Daddy where ever you are remember me
In what ever you do I love you
Daddy where ever you are remember me
In what ever you do I love you

Wandering up and down
The streets of Soweto
No place to call my home
I tried to find you
Many years ago
But the woman you're married to
Was no good at all

Daddy where ever you are remember me
In what ever you do I love you
Daddy where ever you are remember me
In what ever you do I love you

Daddy yo!

Daddy where ever you are remember me
In what ever you do I love you
Daddy yo!
Daddy where ever you are remember me
In what ever you do I love you

Daddy yo!

Daddy where ever you are remember me
In what ever you do I love you
Daddy where ever you are remember me
In what ever you do I love you

Daddy where ever you are remember me
In what ever you do I love you
Daddy where ever you are remember me
In what ever you do I love you

2,000 years-old seeds discovered in 1963 inside an ancient jar in Israel. They were planted in 2005 and the tree that has been extinct for over 1,800 years were sprouted.

Mathuselah which means tree sprouted backing 2005 when agriculture expert Solowey germinated this antique seed. It has been pulled from the remains of Masada, an ancient fortification perched on a rock plateau in Southern Israel.
For awhile, the Judean date palm was the sole representative of its kind. Methuselah's variety was reportedly wiped out around 500 A.D.

Credit and a huge respect to Sir David Attenborough.

Have you been throwing away POTATO peels.... Don't anymore. 1. Soak them in cold water overnight and thereafter 2. Add salt, a pinch of sugar and lemon juice. 3. Then leave the mixture under hot sun for 6 hours for the water to evaporate. After the water has evaporated. Wrap the peels in a black polythene bag and wait for 10 minutes before carefully throwing them in a dustbin because I don't know what you are trying to prepare, you will kill yourself one day iwe kapoli.

Why do you want to eat things that are useless when you can work hard and buy a bag of potatoes without trying silly tricks?

. If you love your children, start a business.

Good morning . I want to share a game-changing secret with you. In our beautiful Zambia, we've grown with the belief that success means a good job and flashy possessions.

But what if I told you there's a path to success that can change your life and your family's destiny forever? I call it "The Manual for Building Intergenerational Wealth."

Here we go. I need you to pay attention to immigrants who come to Zambia. Rwandese, Zimbabweans, Congolese, Lebanese, Indians, Chinese, Nigerians, etc. A generation plus or so ago, my ancestors were immigrants. Do not be misled, immigrants, 90% of the time do not come with troves of money, they come with hope, a desire for a better life and an absolute dedication to hard work.

Even though that does not necessarily guarantee that their children will adopt those traits, there are multiple factors that lead some of these specific characteristics to be embedded by default into their families that ensure intergenerational wealth. Five of these are:
1. They face a lot of struggles to start, which builds humility and character in them. Remember, everyone around you has more rights than you.

2. They are forced into entrepreneurship because they have very little other options. And because it's a business venture, it's easy to pass on and each generation coming builds on top of the past successes regardless of how small.

3. They start with very little capital, so they quickly learn how to make do, they get used to surviving on bare minimums. They work so hard and long hours, not minding abuse or insults. Because they don't have a choice. Pride is out of the table.

4. They come as foreigners so they don't expect support or help from anyone else. Because of this, they tend to form tightly-knit communities that do not compete but are there to help each other. They support each other, they protect each other, they help each other survive, and thrive.

BREAKING NEWS.
Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation ( ZNBC) Board Chair resigns.

ZNBC Board Chairperson Jack Kalala has with immediate effect resigned from the ZNBC Board because of political interference.

In a WhatsApp message circulating on social media groups, Mr Kalala notified his fellow Board members of his resignation, thanking them and urged them to serve Zambia selflessly.

Sources within the board have revealed that Mr Kalala was fired as Board Chairman by Minister of Information and Media, Chushi Kasanda. It is believed he refused verbal instructions to employ Kabwe based Maranantha Radio station manager Nalumino Nalumino as a director at ZNBC.

Mr Kalala requested that the Ministers instructions be in writing, which motivated Ms Kasanda's action.

Upon being informed that he was withdrawn as Board Chair, Mr Kalala tendered his resignation from the Board.
Mr Kalala was among the ratifies members of the board by Parliament on 1 April 2022.

Sub-Chief Kunda-Mfumu of Chembe district in Luapula orders youths to beat up the Minister of Green Economy and Environment for visiting Muombe mines where the controversial sugilite is found.

The Sub-Chief deliberately misinformed the youths that criminals had gone to mine sugilite using government vehicles despite the traditional leader knowing very well that it was the minister of Green Economy and Environment and the provincial deputy permanent secretary for Luapula inspecting the mine.

The headman (Sub-Chief) who is one of the people behind illegal mining of sugilite, plotted this attack on the minister in a bid to arm twist government to allow illegal mining.

The youths blocked the roads and demanded that the minister come out and meet the ring leader headman Kunda-Mfumu. When the minister walked out of the vehicle the youths charged at him and physically assaulted the people around him.

The minister who was calm during the whole ordeal, explained his mission to the irate crowd and it was at this point that the youths explained that they were misled and instructed to beat him claiming he was a criminal.

"Kabiyeni muli bakayele" the youths told the minister after realizing that it was actually the criminals who were using them to fight the government.

Meanwhile Prime Television journalist Mathews Ndandula was physically attacked for trying to capture the scenes on camera.

In the photo youths block the road while the Sub-Chief is watching the events from the vehicle on the far left.

I was pleased this morning to be joined by Cha Cha Cha Ward Councilor James Kapembwa, Ministry of health official, WDC representatives and headmen Sombe, Musangati, Mulonga and Chilengwa as I officiated at the site setting and ground breaking event for the construction of a Clinic at Musangati-Chilengwe Village of Cha Cha Cha Ward under 2022 CDF 3rd quarter funded community projects. The clinic once completed will serve the communities of Mulonga, Chilengwe, Musangati and Sombe Villages including surrounding areas.

Later, we proceeded to inspect the Piped Water project at Chiposa village and I was happy to learn that the project which will provide safe and clean drinking water is at 95% and will as assured by the contractor be handed over next week.

The significant expansion of CDF in the 2023 budget has provided us with an important opportunity to make service delivery more responsive to local needs and promote social and economic development.

President Paul Kagame wants to meet with his political opponents to find a long-term solution to the country's political situation. Speaking during the Rwandese Patriotic Front (RPF) ruling party meeting, Kagame underlined the need to appreciate everyone's skills and abilities, regardless of their political party affiliations. This is the first time President Kagame has made such a statement. The international community and human rights organizations have long accused Kagame of political intolerance against independent political parties and opposition figures as well as of imprisoning and sometimes killing opposition opponents.
