At this point, if you made it through, it is not you.
It is God.
If you have felt before that joy will never come again yet here you are, receiving unexpected blessings, it is not you.
It is our mindful and gracious God.
This year could be a year of joy and of sorrow, but the only reason why we have the strength to go through another day, is because His grace sustained and continually sustains us.
In our weakest, He meets us. Everytime we humble ourselves and surrender to Him, He gives sufficient grace (James 4:6, 2 Cor. 12:9).
It was His grace which carried us, and through the same grace available to those who believe in Him in the name of our Lord Jesus, we will be able to face the new chapter with courage not because of what we can do but because of Him who loves us.
As we approach another year, may His words be engraved in our hearts:
“I have cared for you since you were born.
Yes, I carried you before you were born.
I will be your God throughout your lifetime—
until your hair is white with age.
I made you, and I will care for you.
I will carry you along and save you.”
Isaiah 46:3-4
In highs and in lows, in lack or in abundance, even if the Lord gives, or if He takes away, may our hearts still say,
"Blessed be the name of the Lord."
