I decided a long time ago that I wasn't going to let other people's opinions control my life. That is because I used to let what other people think rule my every move. I was terrified of failing publically and I never wanted others to be unhappy or displeased. By putting others wishes before my own I was afraid to move. I was stuck in the same place doing the same thing. I realized that I didn't have a clue who I was because I was lost in what I was supposed to be. That is when I started living for myself. I am a constant work in progress. I didn't flip a switch and suddenly stop caring about what other people think. We are a society conditioned to blend in.. even at the cost of minimizing what makes you unique. I have to fight negative thoughts just like the average person. The difference is that I don't allow them to control or hinder my decisions. I refuse to let anything stop me from being who and what I want to be. 🖤
