Yakuza 5 Remastered - The Boys vs. The Amons

Yakuza 5: The Boys vs. The Amons
Finishing up some loose ends in Yakuza 5 Remastered, I finally battle the Amons.
Similar to Yakuza 4, each one of Akiyama, Saejima, Shinada (in lieu of Tanimura), and Kiryu will battle against an Amon, each with their own unique (and cheap) abilities.
Here are the timestamps in the video:
0:10: Akiyama vs. Kazuya Amon
Kazuya is a carbon copy of Akiyama's moveset. Same combos and similar heat moves. He shouldn't be too difficult if you time your combos right and keep your heath high.
6:58: Saejima vs. Jiro Amon
I was SURPRISED how particularly easy Jiro Amon was this time around, seeing that I game-overed against him when I fought him in Yakuza 4. What made this battle easy? TIGER DRAGON DROP. It's like the baby brother of the Tiger Drop, BUT it adds a stun/paralysis effect to your opponent. Once Jiro's health is in the last two health bars or so, he starts to make images of himself to try to throw you off, but you really just need to focus on the "real" Jiro.
13:50: Shinada vs. Sango Amon
This fight was surprisingly difficult, maybe because I brought the wrong weapons for Shinada, and I brought more health recovery items than heat recovery items (heat actions is a VITAL PART in winning this fight). Having at least one durable weapon will help temendously, since the Amons will break any melee weapons you use against them. Sango's cheapness comes into the fray when he starts to FLOAT IN MIDAIR AND THROW UMVRELLAS AT YOU, ala Final Fantasy XV's Armiger. This battle took the longest because you cannot hit him when he's floating, unless you have maybe a gun or some other long-range weapon. One trick I used is that when he's about to float down, attack him from behind with your weapon, because he becomes vulnerable for about 3-4 seconds.
30:39: Kiryu vs. Jo Amon
Jo Amon uses some tricks from his previous brothers in this battle. He floats and shoots umbrellas at you, but not as extreme as Sango. He does have a Tiger Drop
Yakuza 6 - Kiryu vs. Jo Amon
Yakuza 6 - Kiryu vs, Jo Amon
This is Kiryu's final battle with Amon, and it couldn't get any cheaper than this, with Amon using f**king DRONES and ROBOVACS to try to get the job done.
However, Kiryu is Kiryu and nothing stands in his way.

Yakuza 6 - Clan Creator: The Amon Army Final Battles
Yakuza 6 Clan Creator: The Amon Army Final Battles
The #Yakuza6 Clan Creator features the Kiryu Clan (yes, that's their actual name) do battle against the members of JUSTIS (yes, that's really misspelled). Similar to Yakuza Kiwami 2, these Clan creator battles feature cameos from various NEW JAPAN Pro Wrestling Legends. After clearing the main story missions. the Amon Army joins in on the fun in one of the later side missions, giving you three battles each (with increasing difficulty) in both Kamurocho and Onomichi.
The first two battles (in each city) against the Amon Army are pretty manageable, having been able to defeat them with Level 35-40 characters. However, the Final Battles featured MULTIPLE AMONS, which is nigh impossible with sub-level 50 characters. With this dilemma, I bit the bullet and went farming for levels (which took a looooong time). eventually reaching the early-mid 80s (I'm pretty sure it's still doable in the mid-60s levels). The change was dramatic.
So without further ado, here are the final battles against the Amon Army in both Kamurocho and Onomichi.
Yakuza 5 Remastered - Haruka vs. Noa Amon
Yakuza 5 Remastered - Haruka vs. Noa Amon
I really liked playing as Haruka in Yakuza 5. Aside from there being no random "battles" (and not having to punch guys to death), you are instead presented with "dance battles" that you can freely trigger on your own by talking to people that are randomly dancing all over Sotenbori.
What's great is, since Haruka is obviously related to Kiryu, they also made a mini-Amon quest for her, which is unlocked after completing all her Dynachair-related sidestories.
Here is the full, two-part battle with Noa Amon, the youngest sibling of the Amon Clan.

Yakuza 4 - Kiryu vs Jo Amon (with CHEESE)
#Yakuza4 Amon Clan
Battle 4: Kiryu vs Jo Amon
Of course, Kiryu HAS to battle Jo Amon. I admit to using some cheese to this fight, because quite honestly, I'm getting tired of him.
Yakuza 4 - Tanimura vs Sango Amon
#Yakuza4 Amon Clan
Battle 3: Tanimura vs Sango Amon
The third of four battles vs. the Amons in Yakuza 4, Sango Amon was a joke battle because I had the tree armors equipped (auto-guard you from gun attacks).
That girl has been waiting FOREVER. #GhostOfTsushima
I guess patch 2.10 is coming soon, huh?

Battle 2: Saejima vs Jiro Amon
Here's Battle #2 of four battles vs. the Amons in Yakuza 4. I actually failed on my first attempt, but once I got the pattern, it was pretty easy.

Battle 1: Akiyama vs Kazuya Amon
Here's Battle #1 of four battles vs. the Amons in Yakuza 4. Again, the Amons appear after completing all substories in the game.
Yakuza meets... The Simpsons???
Yakuza 3 has MAYBE the WORST karaoke song selection in the series, but somehow this particular song is starting to grow on me.
Those Kiryu interjections, though, somehow reminded me of a certain popular cartoon character. You'll have to watch the whole video to know who it is.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 - Majima Construction: Pushing The Limits
I've recently been doing postgame for #YakuzaKiwami2, and the Majima Construction minigame is probably the most challenging of all minigames in the series so far.
Here's my battle with the last side-mission of the Majima Construction team, titled "Pushing The Limits". The most difficult mission in the game with SEVENTEEN (17) waves of enemies, culminating with a showdown against the 3 musketeers, Mutoh, and Chono.

Yakuza Kiwami - Kiryu vs. Jo Amon
#YakuzaKiwami - Kiryu vs Jo Amon
Jo Amon makes a return after initially fighting him (with Majima) in Yakuza 0. He is unlocked after completing all the substories.
I left in my failed attempt as I was flustered after that initial "form". I manage to beat him on my repeat attempt.
Majima vs Jo Amon (Yakuza 0)
Here's some more #Yakuza0 content, this time taking on Jo Amon after completion of Majima's substories. He's a lot easier (IMO) than So Amon.
Kiryu vs So Amon (Yakuza 0)
#Yakuza0 was a treat to play. Maybe not the best game ever made, but it will have you hooked just by the sheer number of mini games (oh, and the storytelling is good, too). Definitely one of my best video game experiences.
So ***Spoiler alert*** this optional boss, So Amon, appears after completing all of Kiryu's substories, and BOY IS THIS DUDE AN @#$! He hits like a truck (even at Easy) and has weapons and all kind of cheap s*** at his disposal. Took me a few tries but I managed to defeat him.
(first part wasn't recorded because I set my PS4 to only auto-record the last 10 minutes of gameplay 😅)
One Platinum Moment - Ghost of Tsushima
"Have a Nice Fall!"
Had a tough time with this one. First time the enemies didn't want to be lured near the cliff. Good thing enemies respawn in this area after a certain time. Still unsure if it was just a delayed trophy notification, but we got it anyways.
