Mike Ntombela played for Senaoane Gunners in the 1970s, one of his teammates was former Metro FM DJ, the late Eddie Zondi.

In 1981, Ntombela went to Kaizer Chiefs but didn't break into the star studded side. Having been accused of interfering with coaches at Orlando Pirates in the past and having a love-hate relationship with the Bucs' fans, the club's administration manager, Floyd Mbhele, has tendered his resignation and the club has accepted it and wished him all the best in his future endeavours.

Sinky Mnisi is expected to fill Mbhele's shoes. Recently, a leaked voice note of Mnisi stating that he was joining Pirates was doing the rounds on social media, it is therefore expected that his announcement as the new manager is imminent.
