Rabi Lamichhane-led Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is not participating in the new ruling alliance led by the Nepali Congress and the CPN (UML).

The party secretariat meeting held today decided to exit from the incumbent government, but not participate in the new coalition, said the party Whip Santosh Pariyar.

Stating that two big parties in Parliament remaining in the same government is against the democratic culture, RSP Whip Pariyar said his party is not convinced that this alliance will provide political stability.

UML and Congress come together for a new power equation!

Large parties Nepali Congress and CPN-UML have joined hands together to forge a new power equation agreement.

Congress said it reached the agreement with UML for constitution amendment, political stability and improving the economic situation.

Congress Office bearers said the party had to forge consensus with the CPN (UML) to resolve through national consensus problems seen in course of constitution implementation.

The consensus was announced Monday night by Congress Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak.
