The Fox.
Ahem. Well first off (Mr Steve here.) Where's our beautifully designed cover image, well crafted and engineered by the finest designer I know? And secondly, Lord Sugarplum would surely balk at the dubious prep that makes the show funny missing this week.
I dunno what's goin on...There is room in my firepit if Mr Fox wants to visit btw.

Old adverts, really old. Digestive system chats and an annoying puppet fox that even though you can't see it on the radio it still makes you wonder if it could all be one terrible dream.

Born in Virginia, USA, in February 1932, Theodore Thomas Marshall Histon suffered with mental health issues throughout his life.

Exacerbated by a claimed abduction by aliens in 1956, Histon spent four and a half years in a mental health facility between 1957 and 1962
He further claimed the aliens sought to gain knowledge of his ability to see the future.
In March of 1964 Histon flew to England to record ‘Kimono for Kip’ . Up until recently the final album was considered lost.Histon destroyed the recording prior to taking his own life on May 2nd 1964.

In his lifetime he recorded 4 albums each of which predated music trends - rock n roll and rockabilly in 1949 on ‘Three Minute Hero’ , folk rock in 1953 on ‘Track Back and Trail On’, acid rock and baroque folk in 1954 on ‘Coda’, psychedelic, Krautrock , Progressive Folk and plenty more besides in 1964 on ‘Kimono for Kip’
These recordings resurface once in a blue moon.
Earlier this month for those in the know, something emerged long thought lost on 7 inch vinyl and vanished within days.
Intrigued…..
On this weeks show we have:
The Beatles, Michel Polnareff Maniacs (Les MPM), Warrington Runcorn New Town Development, Peter Gabriel, Laure Briard, Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood, George Harrison, Heart, Offspring , Hooverphonic, Wheeler St James, Brainticket, Ci******es After S*x, Lindsay Muirs Untamed, Tommy Histon, Carla Bruni, Montage, The Enid

The fox is back as well.
And the first broadcast to contain a technical mishap some 45 minutes into the first hour. We like to keep it real, and we're still only human...partly.

Get in there quick folks!

Another slowly declining bout of madness uploaded for those who miss the broadcasts. Sadly that Fox is on the show, and there seems no end to Whispering Chris's repetoire of accompanying friends that make the show vaguely unbearable between some excellent musical treats. Next week I'm bringing a humane means of ficticious fox disposal. Be sure to tune in for that treat, in the meantime fest your ears on this one.

Something for everyone really!

I think we're asking for listener engagement this week, in the form of rubbish poems, very poor jokes and even the odd painting to show your art and how we might inspire you. Anything really that lessens the airtime for that ridiculous fox and lifts us well clear of the bottom of the barrel Just dm or post us. Please. Seriously, please.
Mr Steve.

No Foxes were harmed in any way during the making of this show!
Though in hindsight the fictitious fox is for fixing. Just need a sack, some rocks...
If we had a live fox, a real fox, on the show, I would be made up. For one thing it wouldn't speak.

So, if you didn't catch this when it was broadcast yesterday, today or even tomorrow...It's here, two hours of festive fun, biting social commentary and very poor humour and bickering. A barrel has never been scraped so low in terms of comedy. Yet it's got some cracking tunes and a smidgen of professionalism on no budget whatsoever.

It’s Anarchy! Chaos! Stanley Ogden! down on the allotment this festive weekend. We were going to be doing a live show (almost) but sadly Mr Steve (c) has a lurgy either that or he’s in hospital having wisdom teeth fitted. His showbiz mates decided that they wanted to ensure they gave him festive greetings in their own inimitable (or should that be irritable way) and called in on him during the recording.
Music this week comes from Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Keith West, Paul McCartney, Steeleye Span, My Life Story, Kirsty and Shane, Momus, Vic Godard, Bowie and Bing, Jona Lewie, Micky Greaney. And lots more
If you listen to no other radio show this Christmas, make sure you listen to this one!!

Down in the depths of the allotment over this weekend:
Christy Moore, the.pearlfishers, The Church (Steve Kilbey), Beta Radio, Shocking Blue, Steve Ashley, The City, Smoke Fairies, Maddy Prior, Wynder K. Frog, Patty Gurdy, The Rowan Amber Mill, Sufjan Stevens, The Clientele, Emmy the Great, The Flower Machine, Mike Oldfield, Kate Bush, Home Brewed Universe
A growing number of Christmas adverts.
Guess the Christmas tune.
Hardly any Christmas songs though...we're holding back as long as possible.
Oh, and there was room at the end of the show for one of Chris's favourite tunes...sigh.

On the show this week Mr Steve is joined by his showbiz chum Bradley Brush (Great Grandson of Basil)
Music this week comes from Gravy Train, Daniel Wylie, The Luck of Eden Hall (Fruits de Mer Records) Hanford Flyover, Camel, Sandy Denny, The Gold Needles and a myriad of others.
And aside from the typically unwarranted addition 'Bradley Brush' we've kept with the seasonal attributes of commercialism and added the first of many annoyingly early Christmas adverts for you to grind your teeth at. Our commitment to universal eye rolling remains ever consistent.

15/11/2023

We're a bit pushed with the oddities of life this week so because last week's show was really cool we are gping to repeat it. Normal services next week, so don't fret.

We’re still here amongst the peas, potatoes and parsley.
On this weeks show there is music from:
The Beatles, Miss Mellow (Sound Effect Records), Bridget St John, Diamond Hands, Islet, Lamp of the Universe, sparkle*jets u.k. (Big Stir Records), Novelty Island, Stephen Duffy, Donovan, Nico, Lou Reed,Sloan, Oslo Tapes, Nick Cave, Mazzy Star, Black, David Bowie ★(50p ta.)
Roger kicks off the festive season...too early.
We have ads, not Christmas ones...yet.
The tv themes near the end.
And Mr Steve's dodgy microphone.
All this and not much more.
Festive picture to show we're not averse to commercial influence.

09/11/2023

Another show advert, hopefully.

29/09/2023

On this weeks show
Liz Davinci
Sun dial
Dead Boys
Celistia
Viv Stanshall
Yes
Geranium Pond
And so much more. Another eclectic mix
Miss it
Miss out

And here we are again.

And here we are again.

The show we didn't advertise. Ye this show was broadcast with no prior knowledge given. And you still listened. Vewy good. Here it is again, in all it's unadulterated glory. Enjoy.
