Charging up my batteries tonight for a double header weekend and I’m just sitting here reminiscing about some really special moments from the second half of 2023. We had the honor of filming so many incredible weddings and will forever cherish the friendships we built with all of these amazing couples. Hi friends! 👋🏻 My name is Jessie Smith and I’m the Owner/Lead Videographer of . I love creating elegant, authentic, and timeless wedding films for my couples to cherish for a lifetime. To help you get to know a little more about me, here are 10 fun facts:

1. I have lived in Charleston, SC (James Island to be exact) since 2005. 🍍

2. I have worked in video production since 2004 and can’t imagine doing anything else! (Except for maybe #9) 🎥

3. won the award for Best Wedding Videographer in 2023 and 2022, was a finalist in 2 categories in the 2022 , won Top 10 Most Watched Videos of 2021 and has been featured in , and 🏆

4. I graduated from North Carolina State University in 2004 with 2 bachelor degrees in Media Communications & Spanish. 📚

5. I grew up in Newton, MA (just outside Boston). 🏙️

6. My husband David is from England and we have 3 dogs and a cat. 🐕🐈

7. I was an editor/producer on 10 different nationally televised TV series and 2 locally televised TV series. 📺

8. From 2013-2015, I co-created, produced, shot and edited a docu-reality TV series about called “Give Me Shelter” which aired on and Hulu in the US and in 110 countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. 📺

9. I can impersonate a lot of people/characters. My best impersonation is Lois Griffin from . My dream side hustle job is to be a voice over actor for an animated series. Just waiting on that casting call from ! 🎤

10. When I’m not filming or editing videos, I love spending time with my husband and friends, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, walking our dogs, traveling and enjoying all the cuisines and cocktails Charleston has to offer! I’m a sucker for oysters, sushi, dirty martinis and sour beers. 🚤🚣🐕✈️🦪🍱🍸🍺

Olivia & Brady traveled from Texas to South Carolina to tie the knot at Boone Hall Plantation, a venue overflowing with natural beauty. A ceremony under a grand oak tree covered in Spanish moss, followed by a waterfront sunset reception was the perfect setting for their Notebook inspired micro wedding. We can not get over how gorgeous Olivia looked in her dress and how dapper Brady looked in his suit! Thank you Olivia & Brady for including us on such an intimate and special day in your lives. We are so thrilled for the two of you! Cheers to the Bauers!

Beena & Orr’s vibrant, oceanfront Seabrook Island Wedding was equally unique as it was emotional. The combination of nature, incredible floral arrangements, cultural elements and a deep emotional connection made this wedding day a truly monumental event. This is what a romantic, intimate, tropical, waterfront Folly Beach wedding looks like! The incredible views and colorful decor made for the most perfect setting for Andrea and Nick to say “I do” during an intimate celebration with 30 of their closest family and friends at Regatta Inn. Their story began 3 years ago when they met during a boat trip on a lake and has continued to grow into a beautiful relationship. They chose Folly Beach as their wedding destination because quite simply, it’s their “happy place.” We are so glad these two found each other and hope for a lifetime of joy and love! Miss Maine USA’s wedding was an absolute dream! What an honor it was to film such an incredible and eventful weekend. Not only are Juliana and Taylor starting a new chapter in their lives, Juliana will also be the first married contestant to ever compete in the Miss USA pageant! How incredible is that?! Documenting both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding day was the perfect way to capture this very special weekend. We’re still gushing over the incredible decor, catering and band performance at Hibernian Hall. Emotional moments like Juliana’s first look with her dad, Taylor and Juliana’s private letter reading, and all the heartwarming toasts from the rehearsal dinner really helped piece this highlight film together. We are so excited for these two and can’t wait to see where they go next on their journey in life together. Cheers to the Locklears!

There are almost no words to describe how incredible Elizabeth and Igor’s wedding day was. What truly had me in tears while I was editing this film was Elizabeth’s conversation with her mom as they walked down the aisle. It was equally sweet as it was bittersweet. On top of a day filled with emotions, we were surrounded by natural beauty and history around every corner. It truly was the most amazing day. From the first phone call through delivery of this film, I have felt such a connection to this couple and consider them friends to this day. The kindness they exhibit towards others is completely “infectious,” as Elizabeth’s maid of honor would say and I am so grateful to have been able to be a part of this momentous occasion. I can not wait to see what happens next for these two. Cheers to the Andersons!

Our first wedding of 2023 was STUNNING! We had the honor of filming Anar and John’s incredible Cedar Room wedding, planned by Elevents & Co, and it was jam packed full of so many sweet moments and jaw dropping decor/florals. One of the sweetest moments was when John gushed about his bride to all their guests. We always love a good welcome toast by the groom/couple! Other moments that stood out was John’s reaction to seeing Anar during the first look, Anar’s dad and best friends’ heartwarming toasts, and of course the look on Anar’s face when the officiant announced them husband and wife. Capturing moments like these is exactly why we do what we do! Cheers to the Crawfords!

Finishing off 2022 with the last film of the year! Last week we filmed Aubrey & Jake’s intimate Christmas themed elopement at Hotel Emeline and White Point Gardens - and it was magical! With just 10 family members in attendance, these two shared the absolute sweetest vows, which totally made us all tear up. The way that Jake looked at Aubrey made her smile from ear to ear and we couldn’t be happier for the two of them as they continue to build their lives together with their two adorable children. Last year David and I had a super small wedding with just a few local friends. After over a year of planning, we finally had the chance to include our families and a few more friends during anther small second wedding celebration on Folly Beach on 10/8/22.
