🚨BREAKING NEWS: A MAN Arrested For Alleged Planting A Bomb At Loftus Stadium yesterday.

Police have arrested a suspect at Loftus Stadium during a game between Mamelodi Sundowns and Waydad. The man was trying to set up a bomb. A fan noticed the suspicious explosives devices and alerted the police. Police acted swiftly and dismantled the bomb before apprehending the suspect.

“When I see Chiefs and Pirates who normally have to be the biggest opponent of Sundowns, it’s not what we expect from those teams. The quality of the PSL is not increased, it stayed the same. Sundowns are dominating and the others try to follow, but they can’t follow, which is not good for South African football and it’s not good for Sundowns.

VAR Update

SAFA vice-president Linda Zwane has disclosed that they have received approval from Fifa on the plans for the introduction of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in SA.

Speaking to SABC Sport in August 2023, Zwane explained the next phase is also to address the most critical part, which is training.

There are only three VAR-trained match officials in the country at present – Akhona Makalima, Zakhele Siwela, and Abongile Tom.

1985 was one of the seasons Kaizer Chiefs don't like to remember because they didn't do so good. But even though things wasn't good for them, they were not called LOVE AND PEACE for nothing. As they were willing to help Orlando Pirates to survive RELEGATION when they were to play against each other in the last game of the season and then Kaizer Chiefs coach "Joe Frickleton" vowed before the game to give it AWAY as he said there'll be no professional football in South Africa without this two teams. Orlando Pirates were sitting at position 17 with 22 points in 33 games played (a win was 2 points back then) after there game against Kaizer Chiefs, they moved up into position 15 and survived relegation. At the start of the following season Orlando Pirates thank Kaizer Chiefs with there two best players (Steve 'Stimela' Mnguni & Absalom 'Scara' Thindwa. It is a history that ten years later Coach Ronald Mkandawire went to win CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE with the Buccaneers.

How Mamelodi Sundowns won 5 games out of their 7 games with referees' favours:

1. When they play against Sekhukhune United, the Sundowns' player pushed Sekhukhune's player and that led to a force land on Sundowns' player. Sundowns' got a freekick and Sukhukhune's player was sent off. According to the rules of game Sekhukhune was supposed to be given a foul for push, and Sekhukhune's player wasn't supposed to be sent off because there was no intention to injure the opponent.

2. When they play against Kaizer Chiefs in the league match, Shalulile got a ball in an offside position, he made the assist, and Sundowns got a lead. Later Shalulile wrestled Ditlhokwe inside the box, and a penalty wasn't given in favour of Chiefs.

3. When they play Chippa, the ball hit the arm of Chippa's player at its natural position, the referee gave it as a hand ball in favour of Sundowns, and Sundowns got a lead.

b) In a same match, Luvuyo Mamela dribbled Mvala who was the last man on the defensive line of Sundowns, and Mvala badly tackled him with no intention of playing the ball; denying Mamela goal scoring opportunity, and the referee didn't give Mvala a red card.

4. When they play against Polokwane City, Boutouil badly tacked Polokwane City player with no intention to play the ball but to injure the player, and the red card wasn't not given.

5. They played Orlando Pirates and they were given a faked penalty, they scored. Williams tackled Lepasa who had an opportunity to get an equaliser for Pirates, and the red card wasn't not given.

NB: in total Sundowns play 7 league games and they only won 2 games against Golden Arrows and Richards Bay fair and square.

6. In MTN8 against Swallows and they scored a winning goal from offside position.

7. They played Chiefs last Saturday, Castillo was pulled by Teboho Mokwena inside the box. There was no penalty given. Mdantsane was was kicked by Thapelo Maseko inside the box. There was no penalty given.

In seven matches that Sundowns won, they only won two fair and square.
