Dorthy Michelle Haney was a 31-year-old mother, daughter, and sister from Munford, Alabama. She was known for her kind heart and close bond with family. On November 18, 2017, her body was found on the side of a Talladega County road between Jackson Trace Road and the entrance of CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park.

Investigators believe she was killed elsewhere, making her final hours even harder to trace. She was one of three people murdered in the area within just 10 days. To this day, no one has been arrested.

The Decatur Police Department seeks the public’s assistance locating a missing person.

Amy Lynn Phillips, 40, was last seen in Decatur on Tuesday leaving the Clarion Pointe Motel, located at 810 6th Ave. NE. Her last known location was in Huntsville on Tuesday after she dropped off a rental vehicle at the airport.

She was in Decatur from Texas completing a work assignment that was scheduled to take several weeks.

Amy is described as being 5’6” tall, about 135 lbs., with red hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Decatur Police Department at 256-341-4660.
