FORT MYERS, FL — A tornado ripped through parts of Fort Myers and Naples, Florida earlier today, from north Collier County and across the gulf coast in Lee County and beyond.🌪😱(#SWIPELEFT)
Video on the first slide shows blue power flashes from an EF-2 tornado early this morning that reported winds up to 118 mph.l, according to the National Weather Service.
The tornado reportedly damaged and destroyed dozens of homes and caused power outages in the southwest Florida area, including some mobile homes at the Tropicana RV Resort in Fort Myers.
No deaths or major injuries were reported.
Four minor injuries however were reported in Lee County by 3 p.m. ET today. In Charlotte County, at least 141 customers were waiting to be reconnected with power.
One county assessed that 27 homes destroyed, 24 with major damage and 14 with minor damage. Cecil Pendergrass, the County Commission Chairman later told reporters that 62 of the homes were unlivable after being struck by the tornado.
“We will coordinate resources to meet the immediate needs, we are working with the Red Cross,” Pendergrass said.”

Slawson was involved in a case a few years ago in which CNN alleged that he called and threatened a mosque. The case is complex and involves another defendant, as well as allegations of sloppy police work and a second defendant.
Authorities concede Michael Slawson, the son of a Los Angeles Superior Court judge, left an anti-Muslim voicemail at a mosque, but was not charged with any crime.

Officials confirmed a UPS driver and a pilot are killed in a small plane crash in Santee in the San Diego area. The crash occurred around 1pm.
The UPS truck was incinerated, and two homes were destroyed in the incident.
It is still unknown how many people were on the plane, and if all those inside the homes made it out safely

On Sunday, a fire crew was en route to a collision that left one car engulfed in flames on Highway 101, but found that rookie officer Pedro Garcia had arrived first and was pulling the driver to safety.
Video recorded from an emergency responder's car shows Garcia didn't hesitate as he pulled the trapped victim from the fire.
"Heroes walk amongst us. There is no training for a moment like this. We put our lives on the line to save others. Fantastic job Officer Garcia! We salute you," read a statement from SJPD.
The patient was treated and transported to a nearby hospital. Garcia did not receive any injuries.

It’s criminal assault. And it’s animal abuse.
This Black man did NOTHING to warrant such a thing. Nothing. I don’t want to hear otherwise.
