In this example, I played with facial expressions using the neural filters on Photoshop.. I thought the smile function worked pretty well in this example, but I did notice that it works better on some photos than others. The surprise and anger functions I have only seen come out scary weird....maybe post some of those for Halloween soon. It's a start but I can see why the neural filters are still in Beta.

I ended up experimenting with some free stock photos using the neural filters in Photoshop. The picture on left is the original. I think she actually looks best and most genuine in this photo. The top right photo is using the skin smoothing and blur functions that should make you look younger and I think this one came out ok. The picture on the bottom right is using the smart filter that is supposed to make you look younger. Even though I did the slightest adjustment, it still leaves a really blurry look that extends into the hair. Think they need to work on this technology some more. Fun to play with but she seems like a woman who embraces her age, and I appreciate the more genuine look the most.

So Photoshop has this new tool called a nueral filter. It’s still in Beta so not all functions are working great yet but it does have some photo editing tools that are pretty crazy already. It can make you look younger or older, smile, look angry. This is not my work below...just wanted to post an example. Because I want to play around with one of your portrait photos. Who wants to be my guinea pig?

Sharing some artwork I made. I started this as a project suggestion to create a movie poster that encapsulates your feelings of the past year in January of this year, and just revisited/completed it after having been through most of this last year. I ended up not wanting to make it into a movie poster but keep it a simple artistic expression. To me this is about surrender....the movie would have been titled "Let Go and Grow". It's about letting go of those parts of yourself that are stuck in anger and fear and letting the peace and connection parts of yourself rise up. Always a work in progress but that is what I aspire to.
