Happy šŸ¤ | This week I want to highlight how important it is to make sure we are focused on our intentions, focused on the task and focused on the moment. So many of us make the excuse that we don’t have the ā€œtimeā€ to do this or do that. I PROMISE taking 3-5 mins to yourself to just make SURE we’re focused- helps so much. Check in with your body; how are you breathing? How does your body feel? What is it telling you RIGHT now? … Are we still focusing on the same goal/task? Are we focused on what’s happening now and not letting our minds steal or time? Sometimes we can get so caught up on autopilot that we really forget- we are all humans who need time to process and rest.

SWIPEEEE>>> I have been thinking more and more about how important community is. I’ve realized how amazing inclusion can make someone feel. I wanted to just share something with all of you, as a reminder you never really are alone. Whether you wish you weren’t or were, someone out here can relate. Does this mean that everybody has the courage or knowledge to know what they’re even experiencing throughout life, or even just within their time here navigating. I think we often let social media tell us what’s ā€œnormalā€ and what’s not, too many ā€œDo notsā€ and not enough ā€œDo thisā€. We may be more alike than we know.

How many of these points did you relate to??🌚

Not funny ā€œhahaā€ funny in a weird way🤣. I won’t be here too long but I just wanted to chime in really quick.

I remember as a kid I used to think Bipolar people were crazy, because I didn’t understand them. I actually have always shown signs and symptoms of Bipolar disorder growing up, but I had to suppress it because of lack of support and education; but also - lack of resource. When I had my su***de attempt in 2019, I was diagnosed with a few things and bipolar type 1 was one of them. I am now almost 25, and I still can’t believe the complexity of being bipolar.

In 2020, I remember my therapist and I going through session after session and she felt as though they misdiagnosed me. Turns out I was being ruled for ā€œBorderline personality disorderā€ (BPD) which a lot of people assume is like being bipolar which it is NOT. People who have BPD truly go through extremes and ranges/levels of changes throughout our brains, behavior, personality, relationships and more.

I guess this post was just more of a realization that no matter how much time you sit with something, there is always something new to discover about yourself; even the parts that don’t feel like they’re you !

Repost from | Many people experience a huge amount of anxiety, depression, anger, loneliness, and detachment during the holiday season. The holidays aren’t always hard on people JUST because it’s a holiday, there is always a deeper meaning behind why people come to the conclusion of feeling these ways. This doesn’t make a person bitter or miserable, it doesn’t mean you’re ruining the holidays , and we aren’t going to accept the burden of ā€œruiningā€ the holiday for other people.

I want to remind whoever is struggling during this season that you are NOT alone, you are understood and someone does see you. Do your best to keep yourself happy and to continue to forgive yourself and others. We are all responsible for our actions, behavior and responses, so it’s not your fault people are CHOOSING to take things personal. It’s not your job to make anybody else happy other than yourself. Even if it is at the cost of someone else’s feelings, and I know things like that are easier said than done. But remind yourself that you will and can get through anything, if you couldn’t you wouldn’t be reading thisšŸ’•

I truly hope this message gets across to the right people/person.ā¤ļø

I’m uploading a blog about this because I understand things are easier said than done. I woke up this morning having a hard time motivating and pushing myself to get up and get out today. I sat there letting my anxiety rob me of 20 minutes out of my morning routine. It made me just start comparing myself to my old self and putting time limits and frames on my goals when I realized; I put the pressure on myself. I live in my head so much than I don’t focus on enjoying my life or living in the moment. Yeah everything may bad in my eyes but my mind is literally battling against itself, I’m creating the enemy inside of myself.

The BEST thing to do for yourself in a time like this would be:

-Be kind to yourself, and others.
-Forgive yourself for the moments you aren’t perfect.
-Find a way to release your feelings and thoughts; whether that’s journaling, writing a prompt, using creative writing, using your audio recorder on your phone, writing a sentence or two every morning when your alarm goes off etc; it truly is better out than in.
-Tend to yourself! Feed yourself, shower when it crosses your mind, REST and relax, engage in mindfulness activities
-Get outside in some way.
-Use a spending tracker for financial planning.
-Read! Fantasy or nonfiction are great ways to help your mind escape or stay engaged.
-Be present in the moment; remind yourself the past is done and no thought can undo it. Know that when you stress over the future, that’s what raises anxiety and stress.
