Armed Robbers in their numbers on Tuesday, 3rd of May, 2022 at about 1:30am, invaded Victoria Hotel, beside Anglican Grammar School, Ota.

They allegedly bursted all the rooms, except one and took the phones of Yahoo boys who lodged at the hotel overnight.

An eye witness, who was also a victim of the robbery attack, told VOA Gossip that the Yahoo boys requested to make mobile transfers for the Armed robbers but they insisted. ‘What they did was they asked for phones, mostly iPhones, asked for the iCloud, some that had face locks, were forced to be opened while they carted away all the phones.

One of the Yahoo boys, as reliably informed, who was recalcitrant and didn’t want to part away with his phone was seriously stabbed in the palm and still receiving treatments as at press time.

An interesting twist is that VOA Gossip gathered that there was ‘one of a kind birthday celebration’ two days before the robbery incidence and that some guys who purportedly appeared dangerous were also in attendance during the birthday.

Recall that Victoria Hotel, Ota is owned by the former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Ogun state, Chief Jide Ojuko but has been leased out to a new management who are currently running the hotel.
