An untold life story of a freelancer.

Good news, I got a 2nd AUS client through an agency.
Bad news, My 1st ever client no longer need my service as he went bankcrupt.
-
Good news, my current AUS client through agency hired me directly for a higher rate.
Bad news, he changed his mind and changed it to lower rate after a week.
Another bad news, the agency scammed me and didn't pay my 14 days salary. (5 digits)
-
Since I was stuck with only one AUS client, I have to go through several interviews.
13 to be exact.
-
After a week...
-
Good news, I was hired again through another agency and I logged in for 2 days only.
Bad news, they had to let me go as they're so busy and don't have time to train me.
-
Again, a series of interviews.
Still blessed to have 1 ongoing client pero kelangan may isa pa ulit.
Kelangan lagi kang may back up.

Then
Good news, natanggap sa isang premium client. Sayang saya ako at sa wakas!
Bad news, nag cost cutting sila and nagtanggal ng 6 employees including me just a week after I got hired.

Everything happened in just less than 30 days.
I went through almost 20 interviews.
Rejections and failure are already part of my daily routine.
I was consumed. Stressed. Hopeless.

One day, I paused for a while and nag panic attack ako.
Tumawag agad ako kay Eric sabi ko lang umuwi ka na and wala na ako naiimik.
Nagpapalpitate na ako at naninikip dibdib ko.
I started crying na hindi na ako makahinga kakaiyak.
Nangatal na buong katawan ko and ramdam ko namamanhid na yung bibig ko.
I can't even move iyak lang ako ng iyak.
Akala ko talaga maiistroke ako.

While waiting for Eric, nilapitan ako ni Lexi at siguro ramdam nyang I'm not okay so I feel na kinocomfort nya ako. 🥺🥺🥺

Pag dating ni Eric, napakalma na nya ako after ilang oras rin.

Lagi ko naririnig na ang swerte mo kasi nasa bahay ka lang.
Opo, blessed po ako compared to any other job. Yes po. Pero hindi po dun yun natatapos.
Emotionally unstable po when s**t happens.
Physically unstable po kasi ang taba ko na lalo dahil kain tulog, walang disiplina.
Financially unstable po pag biglang na scam/di pinasahod.
Mentally unstable po pag sunod sunod na rejections.
Not to mention the low self esteem due to body shaming.

Walang kahit na sinong pwedeng mag invalidate sa feelings natin kasi hindi naman sila yung nakakaranas ng hirap. Sampal ka sakin!

Grabeee. I rarely share stuff like this but I know. I'm not alone. 🥹

Meron rin kayong mga silent battles na hinaharap everyday and I'm proud of you if you're always choosing to get up after a heavy cry.
