Hi I’m McKenna — the designer and artist behind The Hurcomb Collective, a space born from my passion for people and the stories they carry. I believe that every piece, whether crafted or curated, should reflect an essence of connection and intentionality. To me, design is an invitation—a way to honor memories, inspire others, and make something meaningful out of the everyday.

Outside of my work, you’ll often find me immersed in the quiet rhythm of sewing, getting lost in a good book, or scouring for treasures at thrift shops. My husband and I find joy in creating a warm, welcoming home, filling it with projects we bring to life together.

The Hurcomb Collective is more than just a brand. It’s my heart poured into each design, with friendship woven through every detail, and a commitment to creating spaces and pieces that truly resonate with the lives they touch. A ‘23 outtake that we are obsessed with to kick off ‘24

Just reflecting a little bit today on how far we have come. A little bit of our story for those who don’t know… 3 years ago at this exact time in the New Year I lost my job at a marketing agency. My husband & I were getting married that year & I felt so lost & confused about what I was going to do. It was from that place that The Hurcomb Collective was born. I can’t believe how far we have come in the last 3 years. I just feel so much gratitude for all of the people who have believed in us and booked with us. I truly love waking up everyday knowing I love the work I do. 🤍

felt like time for a mood board to make its way on our feed again. This one is for : autumnal feeling imagery. This board is sprinkled with touches of the 1800s, autumn, handwritten postcards send from France, the romance of a coffee & a good book, and the warmth of being with someone you love.

A note:

We all are human. We have spouses, children, parents, siblings, and friends. We have homes to care for, meals to cook, dinner parties to attend, weddings to celebrate, funerals to grieve, trips to take, movies to watch, and hobbies to lose ourselves in. Sometimes we are healthy, sometimes we are sick. Sometimes we are somewhere in between those. Underneath what everyone sees we all experience joy, sadness, anger, confusion, frustration, happiness, tiredness, worry, fear, doubt, peace, comfort, jealousy, and love.

This is a reminder for today & tomorrow & the next day that we are all human beings experiencing all of the above most days. Be gentle & kind to yourself. See others in this light as we deal with one another. We are all facing something. If we see each other & ourselves as beautiful & fragile & strong as we truly, facing so many things daily, it will soften us, make us more genuine, and a lot less selfish. We don’t have to have it all figured out. We are human & that is okay.

Who made all of our personal wedding dreams come true? Olivia Lauren Events did. This timeless, old world branding is definitely one our our favorites that we have ever done. Plus we are just huge fans of the owner - Savannah. There is just something so classic & elegant about it and I CANT GET OVER IT!
