Hi friends, the reason behind I created this page is from last few days I felt very upset because the way the big corporate company "Westfield" at Tea Tree Plaza is treating the community. I live close to TTP and every day, I commute to city for my work and in the evening on the way home I do shopping to support the businesses in the TTP. Sometimes I even push trollies back to shopping centre from the nearby park to help the businesses in there. We live close to Smart Rd, everyday my husband drops me at the intersection and goes to Golden Grove Road to drop kids at their school and then goes to work. On Tuesday (1/10/2022) as like other unaware community members we were in hurry to start our daily routine, when we went close to the carpark ramp near 'mycar' auto the gate was locked we thought it could be under repair. Then we went all the way down to Aldi and took a right turn to access the car park but near the Coles entrance two traffic managers were controlling the cars not to enter into the car park by telling only staff can go beyond that point. A lot of cars who drops their family members were lined up because cars has to reverse at the narrow Coles goods drop out area. A lot of nervous drivers were stressed to reverse in the narrow area and blocked the traffic. We were all late to our work places. I rang Westfield customer services and asked, if they notified the transport SA and Council about blocking the roads, they informed ‘no need to tell anyone’ because it is a privately owned road. This not only my problem but in the community a lot of vulnerable, disable, aged people can get advantage by dropping near the intersection tin shade. I don't think this has been considered by the TTP management. Now I decided never do shopping in TTP. Today we went to St.Agnes and felt relieved. My slogan is "If you don't care the community then community don’t care you”. Now I would like to see Council and Transport SA what they come up with.
