“Should my business post on the holidays?”
It’s a question most business owners ask at some point, and the truth is, it depends on why you’re posting.
Holiday content can be a great opportunity to connect with your audience, but only when it’s done with purpose. A quick “Happy Halloween!” graphic might check a box, but it rarely moves the needle. When your message aligns with your brand, your audience, or what you stand for, that’s when it starts to make an impact.
Not every holiday needs a post, either. Focus on the ones that matter most to your audience and align with your brand values. For some businesses, that might mean Thanksgiving or New Year’s. For others, it might be Halloween, Valentine’s Day, or even a local community event.
The key is to make it meaningful. Share something behind the scenes, a seasonal tip, or a heartfelt message of gratitude. Skip the filler, stay authentic, and don’t be afraid to keep it simple when needed. Sometimes, a genuine message goes further than any graphic ever could.
Holiday content should reflect your brand, not feel like an obligation. When you post with intention, your audience can tell, and they’ll remember it.
