TODAY: Free student vehicle safety check! VCU students are welcome to the JL Lot, located at 200 W. Cary St. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Our community partner, Cutshaw Automotive / Grease Monkey will top off major fluids, check wiper blades / fluid and check light bulbs and tire pressure. Safelight Auto Glass will check windshields. Get your car ready for summer adventures!

During the second week of every April, telecommunications personnel in the public safety community are honored nationally by the Association of Public Safety Communication Officials (APCO). This week-long event, established in 1981 by Patricia Anderson of the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office in California, is a time to celebrate and thank those who dedicate their lives to serving the public. We would like to thank our dispatchers for their hard work and dedication to public safety at Virginia Commonwealth University and in Richmond.
