AverageJoe, AKA The Socially Awkward Rapper may be an odd name for someone in the music scene. However, it encapsulates the theme of the music they make.
It is an intentional contrast against the image of rappers and the culture that surrounds the genre.
Experimenting with style, releasing music influenced by other musicians like A Tribe Called Quest, Capital Steez and Earl Sweatshirt, as well as taking influence from North East rappers such as 90BRO and Jack Fox as well as Rick Fury, keeping in with the use of local dialects.
Often rapping over J Dilla style beats produced for him give each song a new age old school vibe. This paired with lyrics about the day to day life, youth culture and social pressures of living in a small town through a personal lens make for easy listening that many can relate to.

Starting out by performing at local open mics and rap nights, Average has stepped up their game to bag payed slots and guest star at a festival with local rapper Xavier.

Hello, I am Ambar Dhesi singer songwriter/ events manager from South Shields/ Washington. i’ve been performing since before I can even remember! With Irish roots and a musical family, it was destined to be. Originally I was a street dancer and musical theatre student but decided to take on a music degree! This is where I found my talent for writing my own lyrics and really came into my own and started to release my original songs back In 2018!!
My music varies between Reggae, pop, Liquid Dnb, indie, soul, R&B and a little bit of Hip-Hop. There really is something for everyone at my shows and that has always been my goal. My love for music doesn’t stop at one genre and it’s allowed me to create a true documentation of my life
