A temporary road closure has been put in place to allow Cumbria Highways to carry out drainage and carriageway surfacing works which are expected to commence 30th August 2022 and anticipated to take 7 days to complete.

Location: The B5302, Waverbridge, from its junction with the C2050, extending in a westerly direction for approx. 3.2 kilometres.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the B5302, the A596, B5301 Aspatria to Silloth, B5300, Eden Street, and Criffel Street. A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Silloth-on-Solway Town Council is drawing up a Town Plan to enable the Town Council to work with strategic and local groups, to make changes in Silloth for the benefit of locals and visitors.

There will be four questionnaires over eight months and some public meetings and street interviews. For the first survey, we want to know your views on accessibility for locals and visitors with additional needs.

We have our final one tomorrow at the Oval Centre in Salterbeck - 09:30-14:30
