🧡This is my story. **Trigger Warning **
🧡1 in 4 will experience at least one pregnancy loss
🧡1 in 100 will experience recurring loss.
🧡To be honest, it isn't always easy to share of my struggles. Even for me and having this platform. But I'm sharing because I created this space with the intention of having honest conversations about EVERYTHING that comes with this journey. This is my way to voice my support of those who seeking to create their families and are facing obstacles that seem impossible to overcome.
🧡The road to parenthood is full of amazing highs and there can also be unimaginable lows. But the lows don't have to be unspeakable nor unsupported. I share for those who don't, who can't and don't know how to even begin.
🧡Visibility, support and knowledge help to empower us.And with community, there is comfort.
🧡If you have experienced this, I see you and I'm sending lots of love. And I'm receiving all your well wishes as well.
🧡We're not alone

💜Whether a new mom or a mom who is well into their parenting journey, there may come a moment when you realize that not only do you feel overwhelmed, you may not know how to start putting the pieces of your new life together in a way that feels remotely familiar or comfortable to you.
💜Finding your groove in your new role can be quite the adjustment. It's a delicate balance between who you were before motherhood and discovering who you are now.
💜Diana and I eventually embraced that intersection our lives to create something that combined both versions of ourselves, honoring our motherhood trials and triumphs, and evolving into mompreneurs on a mission to make it easier for mothers to come.
💜However, neither of our arrivals to this point of balance and purpose came easily. There have been many roadblocks we've had to knock down...and also LOTS of therapy. Being open to the support of our community (I often refer to them as "my tribe ") and receiving their generosity, inspired us to pay it forward, tenfold, by any means necessary.
Sometimes, you just have to demand for your mental health to be a priority!
💜No mother should have to feel alone, overwhelmed, lost, anxious, depressed, or even perplexed by their version of motherhood being so different than the one they might have envisioned in their dreams.
💜Motherhood is a special and beautiful phase of life. It doesn't feel like that everyday, but you deserve to have that experience more often than not. Whether you find some solace in the bathtub with a fantastic smelling shower bomb, or by simply making time for you and your journal- do it. Do whatever that reminds you that you are an awesome, worthy and amazing woman/person who also happens to be a fabulous Mama. You should also get yourself a box from @
Who am I now? It's a question many moms have asked themselves.
The intersection of who you were before pregnancy and who you are post delivery, can be a difficult adjustment during the 4th trimester and beyond.
In this conversation, special guest Diana Hillaire , Founder of @whenshecomeshome and I discuss our experiences of rediscovering ourselves after becoming mothers.
We reflect on our respective journeys to reclaiming our identities and finding balance between motherhood and personal fulfillment.

What does self care mean to you now, Mama?
That's one of our topics for our online Mommy Meet-up THIS WEDNESDAY, April 3rd at 8pm EST.
This has changed for me during pregnancy, postpartum and while trying to conceive since.
It used to be solo trips around the world, going to a club by myself and dancing till my feet were numb... but I had to find new ways to refill my cup in this season and it changes frequently.
In my 40s, I discovered the best way of practicing self care is finding peace in saying "NO" a lot 💪
And sometimes, a good old fashioned adult time out is also TOTALLY acceptable. 🤣
Join us on Wednesday! The link is the bio💫💜

I've been waiting a long time to hear this...
I didn't always want to get married, but I always wanted to be a mom.
When I finally did get married, divorced, engaged again 🤣 my desire to be a mom helped me discern that neither of those relationships were meant to unite me that little soul I knew would call me "Maman" one day.
In not taking the time to heal from both of those relationships, I fell in love with a very deserving and amazing person, only to break their heart in pieces due to my deep distrust of people and of myself.
3 decades of sorting my life out led me to my best one yet. From trusting my gut again, healing from past traumas, shedding of people and scenarios that no longer served me, to meeting my dear husband and having our rainbow babygirl, my 4th decade has brought me so much transformation, fulfillment and joy.
And now, I get to hear the word I waited patiently for all these years:
"Maman."
