Sharing the fertility facts and statistics for us over 40, empowers us with knowledge, allowing us to plan ahead just in case a natural pregnancy DOESN’T happen.
Yes! Sure! It happened for her and them. And sure-it MAY happen for you too!
But…what if it doesn’t?
I want you to have every tool and option in your pocket so that you can arrive at destination baby.
Having PCOS and fibroids, conceiving my baby at age 40 has always been viewed as a lucky break to me.
Since then, I’ve had 4 losses from 3 natural pregnancies. Trust me when I say, my daughter is more miraculous to me with every passing day.
Why am I sharing this? Because I want you to
be hopeful AND informed.
The stories I share here are a mix batch of luck, surprise and/or LOTS of perseverance and resilience. There hardly ever is a cookie-cutter experience to motherhood at this stage or any other stage really. You just don’t know what your experience will be until you do.
If a natural pregnancy is of upmost importance to you, then:
-Arm yourself with information on egg freezing, no matter how old you are
-Make an appointment with a reproductive endocrinologist
-Find a fertility coach
-Deep dive into your nutrition
-cToday’s eggs are always better than tomorrow’s. Get to know your body and how to help it achieve that.
If your body can’t, please know that it’s not your fault and don’t compare yourself to those whose body’s could.
Be hopeful AND informed.

The last 24 hrs we've been dealing with the 1st thing that has knocked our little princess down. Darn
So glad she's on the mend.
: 5ml of water with a pinch of pink himalayan salt , every 10 mins for an hour, for a natural electrolyte boost. Then increase it to 10ml for another hour. That'll keep that toddler hydrated:-)

Are you a one and a done parent?
One and Done families are on the rise!
Those who are choosing to do, so site less financial stress, the ability to devote the maximum attention to one child, and an increase in overall happiness.
For those adjusting to the reality of being a one and done family, there is a journey to acceptance and acknowledgement of these aforementioned "perks".
What is your story? Do you agree?
This was the LAST thing I wanted.
After having two myomectomys, respectively, due to fibroids and a cancer scare, I was very clear that despite being considered a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) candidate, that I had NOT ever given birth before and that I deserved the right to try for a vaginal birth.
That was truly one of my biggest wishes: that I attempt to give birth the way my mother had done 4 times and my sister had done 2 times...
However, my priority had always been to give birth to a healthy baby. So after 16 hrs of labor, only 3 cm dilated and her heart rate dropping, hopes of a vaginal birth quickly became a non factor.
Recovery was a tender journey. It reminded me to really make time for myself as a new mommy. Every moment of pain was a reminder that I was in fact, human and to give myself grace to ask for help-to ACCEPT help! 🤣🥰 I honestly don't remember the actually degrees of pain at all, though I do know that it was painful.
You may be scared to hear the "C" too.
But I promise, it will mean nothing, when that beautiful baby is in your arms.
Every two weeks or so, we head over to her favorite restaurant, to debrief about her day at school.
She takes joy over ordering her meal on her own and devours it. Then she tells me all about what she did and I just listen. It's become one of my favorite moments with her❤️

It's a delicate balance between who you were before motherhood and discovering who you are now. 💜Diana and I eventually embraced that intersection our lives to create something that combined both versions of ourselves, honoring our motherhood trials and triumphs, and evolving into mompreneurs on a mission to make it easier for mothers to come. 💜However, neither of our arrivals to this point of balance and purpose came easily. There have been many roadblocks we've had to knock down...and also LOTS of therapy. Being open to the support of our community (I often refer to them as "my tribe ") and receiving their generosity, inspired us to pay it forward, tenfold, by any means necessary. Sometimes, you just have to demand for your mental health to be a priority! 💜No mother should have to feel alone, overwhelmed, lost, anxious, depressed, or even perplexed by their version of motherhood being so different than the one they might have envisioned in their dreams. 💜Motherhood is a special and beautiful phase of life. It doesn't feel like that everyday, but you deserve to have that experience more often than not. Whether you find some solace in the bathtub with a fantastic smelling shower bomb, or by simply making time for you and your journal- do it. I've been waiting a long time to hear this... I didn't always want to get married, but I always wanted to be a mom. When I finally did get married, divorced, engaged again 🤣 my desire to be a mom helped me discern that neither of those relationships were meant to unite me that little soul I knew would call me "Maman" one day. In not taking the time to heal from both of those relationships, I fell in love with a very deserving and amazing person, only to break their heart in pieces due to my deep distrust of people and of myself. 3 decades of sorting my life out led me to my best one yet. From trusting my gut again, healing from past traumas, shedding of people and scenarios that no longer served me, to meeting my dear husband and having our rainbow babygirl, my 4th decade has brought me so much transformation, fulfillment and joy. Wow! This baby is 3 years old today! To celebrate -tomorrow morning- I'm going to share for the FIRST TIME EVER, the video of my very 1st episode with you!
