Their are several ways the Bureau De Change operators can still remain in business. They can join some associations in Diaspora thereby expanding their supply chain because when members of their associations makes remittances, they become the go-to person to supply which increases their track record and as such, they remain in business.
BDCs should generate strategic initiative to ensure their members Survive and grow - Abiodun Adedipe
In an interview with Mr. Abiodun Adedipe, he made suggestions to BDC operators to come together and initiate a strategic system that would spell out the process of all HOWs as they make a huge number of the growth of the economy in Nigeria.
In terms of Capital and Corporate governance requirements, BDCs can merge in setting new regulations by constricting the numbers, spell out the serious ones.
The rate of dollar in the black market has gone up. In other to create a balance in the forex market in Nigeria, BDCs has a role to play. They should not be totally neglected. The role BDCs play is, they provide dollar quicker which is why re-acessing their licenses is key.
Bureau De Change is a sector that needs to be empowered by the government as they also contribute to the growth of our economy. BDC should be a valuable entity for the government, central bank and other financial institutions in Nigeria.

The initial motive behind setting up Bureau De Change was to create a window for buying and selling and essentially, dealing with those who may not find it easy or convenient to buy from the official window.
Find the BDCs that are doing it the right way and put them back into the system – Obadaiah Melafia
Vetting the BDCs mode of operation, finding the BDCs that are doing the business the right way and look for a way to bring them into the system and intensify the supervision thereby creating a balance between BDCs and CBN.
Dialogue could be one of a great tool to many issues. Mr. Adedipe Abiodun, an Economist suggest that, CBN would have created a platform for engagement with BDCs (Bureau De Change) on ways to grow their business aside from allocations from Central Bank of Nigeria and equally review the entire guideline for operators.
