How to keep track of laps on your morning walks.

Looking for a simple lap counter that you can make at home? As you can see in the picture, I used a cable tie to string five beads from an old, discarded wooden-bead necklace.

This works like an abacus, where you use beads to do a number count. My lap counter has five beads because I do five laps around the park every morning. Very useful when you’re also listening to music on your morning walks and could lose track of the number of laps you have completed.

Looking for ways to get a better grip on your pencil?

As you can see in the picture, I used a rubber sleeve pulled out of an old ballpoint pen, and slipped it onto the gripping/writing end of the pencil. You can slide the rubber sleeve higher each time you sharpen the pencil.

Want to upcycle an old pair of jeans?

Upcycling Solution: As you can see in the picture, I have cut out the seat portion of an old pair of jeans, to make this a pin-up section for my work area. Just right to hold pens, pencils and things like that, and a spare set of keys. (There you go, problem solved.)

Looking for a stand to hold your reading glasses?

Upcycling Solution: As you can see in the picture, I have pulled out the beak from an old hair drier. This is the beak that works like a nozzle at the delivery end of the hair drier. (There you go, problem solved.)

Looking for ways to keep your earphone wires tangle-free?

Upcycling Solution: As you can see in the picture, I have used a rubber sleeve pulled out of an old ballpoint pen. This is the sleeve that you will find at the gripping end of the pen, which helps you hold the pen firmly. (There you go, problem solved.)
