*Two Residential House and one shop Involved in flame , F&ES Quick action prevents major disaster*

In the early hours of January 12th, a fire broke out in the Kchariya Baghbella village of Karnah Subdivision. The incident occurred at around 1:05 am, causing damage to a triple story house, partial damage to a shop and a house. Thanks to the swift response of the fire service, a major disaster was averted.

The fire quickly engulfed a triple-story house, with the upper two stories being gutted by the flames. However, the ground floor was successfully saved, one residential and a shop partially damaged . thanks to the prompt action taken by the fire service and the assistance of the Indian army and local youth.

Upon receiving the distress call at 1:05 am, the fire and emergency service station in Tangdar wasted no time in dispatching two fire tenders to the scene. The fire teams arrived at the location with remarkable speed, showcasing their dedication and professionalism.

The collaborative efforts of the fire service, Indian army, and local youth played a crucial role in containing the fire and preventing further damage. The locals expressed their gratitude to the fire service for their exceptional work and timely response.

In light of this incident, fire officials urge the general public to promptly report any fire or emergency situations. They have provided emergency contact numbers for immediate assistance. The fire control room can be reached at 101, while the fire and emergency service station in Tangdar can be contacted at 1958 245 222. Additionally, the IC fire station in Tangdar can be reached at 88250 12880.

On "Advocates Day", Abdul Majid Banday appreciated and congratulated legal fraternity for being role models of the society in every respect.

Every year, on 3rd of December, Advocates day is celebrated throughout the country with great enthusiasm and vigour, to commomerate birth anniversary of eminent lawyer and first President of India, Dr Rajindra Prasad.

Adv Abdul Majid Banday said, "although this day, no holiday is observed, but it is specially dedicated to the lawyers. He added, "this day is commemorated to look into the the dedication, consistency and hard work of legal fraternity". While commenting on the broader role of legal fraternity he laid emphasis on the duties of advocates, as officers of the court, towards the judiciary and whole society".

Mr Banday made it clear, "this day is special for all lawyers and advocates throughout the country". He added, " we need to celebrate this day with vigour and enthusiasm to highlight the role of legal fraternity within the courts,"

Mr Banday in his statement said, "People associated with administration of justice have a huge role to play in these testing times. We need to restore honour and dignity of lawyers so that people will repose their trust on legal community. Our primary focus must be "to minimise the gap between lawyers and public and within the legal fraternity itself". We equally need to educate the masses about the hardwork advocates put during the course of administration of justice. Role of advocates in a society need to be highlighted through various programmes and their professional life and hardwork needs to be appreciated."

To sum up, "role of lawyers within the legal fraternity, their relationship with allied departments and with public at large needs to be discussed on appropriate forums". Lawyers need to work endlessly for the smooth functioning of administration of justice".

Non-Availability of drinking water in upper Rajwar worst kind of Human Rights Violation: Rasikh Rasool.
Handwara Oct 22: Rights Activist Rasikh Rasool Bhat has expressed his deep anguish over non availability of potable water in Upper Rajwar villages and termed the situation worst kind of Human Rights Violation.
Rasikh said “Non availability of drinking water in Upper-Rajwar villages of Handwara town of NITI Aayog ‘s Aspirational District Kupwara of J&K is worst kind of Human rights violation.
Privileges guaranteed under Article 21 of the constitution can be assumed as”denied” as the people in almost villages like Zachaldara, Rajpora , Ahgam Hamla etc are without potable water since a good time that too in 21st century.
On papers crores and crores are show withdrawn for the different water supply schemes in upper Rajwar however ground reality is contradicting the clams of the Government, he added.

'GRAND FINALE OF GIRLS VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT LOLAB 2023

Lolab Football Tournament: Precursor to Lolab Mela 2023

The Indian Army has always been at the forefront in nurturing local talent in various fields including games and sports. Football is a game which is very passionately played in the heartland of Lolab and is very close to the heart of each and every Lolabian.
The Lolab Football Tournament is being organised by the Indian Army as a precursor event to the Lolab Mela 2023.

In a nail-biting encounter that had fans on the edge of their seats, 16 local football teams battled it out in a memorable eight league match. From the very first whistle, the atmosphere was electric, with supporters from both sides showing their unwavering support. The players, fueled by the energy of the crowd, exhibited extraordinary determination and skill throughout the game.

This thrilling football league match of Lolab Mela showcased the true essence of local rivalries, with both teams leaving everything on the pitch. In the last match of the league Mighty F C Sogam lost the match by 5-1 goals against Al Huda F C Chandigam. Semi final matches will be more exciting with the rush of adrenaline for all the players and the viewers.

The event is highly appreciated by the civil administration, PRIs, local residents and the participants. The aim of the events of Lolab Mela is to identify sporting talents and provide the youth of Kashmir the immense opportunities to excel in sports and life as a whole.

INDIAN ARMY CELEBRATES RAKSHA BANDHAN WITH ORPHAN GIRLS IN COLLABORATION WITH NGOs

Wednesday, 30 August Raksha Bandhan is celebrated not just in India but throughout the world. This is the festival which celebrates the *bond of trust and affection between brothers and sisters*. On this day sisters tie Rakhis on wrist of their brothers and in return the brothers promise sisters to always protect them from any evil.

With same feeling in heart, and strengthen love and bond with Indian Army, 75 girls from *Orphanages in Bamhama and Kupwara* were present on the event at Saran view point and tied Rakhis on hands of soldiers. For the event various NGOs were also present. A team of six individuals from *AAMHI PUNEKAR*, a team of five ladies working with *AAWHAN PALAK* foundation alongwith 150 Kg sweets and gifts for Army personnel and locals were present for the event. The event also witnessed guests from *KAFILA FOUNDATION* alongwith Principal of APS Beas, Director and trustee of Amcha ghar were present with strength of 15 individuals working in close collaboration with various NGOs.

On the event *media personnel* from 15 agencies were also present and involved in celebration with Armed forces. Guests enjoyed by doing boating, exchanging of sweets and various games played during the event. The programmes of similar nature shall be kept in future to address all cross sections of society which need assistance. Civilians and NGO organisations were thankful to Indian Army for organising *games, karaoke and dance events* at such a large scale for everyone.

As part of “Meri Maati Mera Desh” Campaign, Staff and students of Boys Higher secondary school Zachaldara, Government Middle School Zachaldara, New Bangus Vally English Medium Institute Zachaldara & Sun Rise Public School Zachaldara today organized a Tiranga Rally under supervision of ZEO Rajwar, Principal Higher Secondary School Zachaldara, in coloabration with Tehsil Administration Zachaldara and DO PP Zachaldara.
The Tiranga Rally started at Main Market Zachaldara and culminated at Grid Station Galgazna Zachaldara. Pertinent to mention here that the rally was a part of “Meri Maati Meera Desh” Campaign to honour the matyrs of freedom struggle and local heroes.
