Today we discuss the fifth barrier to Christian cultural engagement, "scriptural relativism." We live in a culture that has traded authority for personal preference. This is especially deadly when this philosophy enters the Church of Jesus Christ. We are witnessing entire denominations committing institutional su***de as they allow the culture to shape the gospel instead of vice versa. The late Francis Schaeffer described our current problem: "the failure of the evangelical world to stand for truth as truth." The Church must have the courage to stand for God's Truth as we engage the culture.
