WE NEED YOUR HELP!

The Second City’s Second Best animation night (after of course) is back Aug 1st for another night of animated shorts. BUT THATS NOT ALL!

We’re also putting together a zine, comprised of drawings, writings, bts from the films, and anything else you can think of! The trouble is right now there’s nothing to put in it, and that’s where you come in.

loose theme (emphasis on loose) is “in your feelings”, but please feel free to submit anything at all!

🥰😜NEXT SCREENING 😮😔

on thursday august 1st we’re back at the lovely for another evening of spectacular animations from across the 🌍

i’ve been trying hard recently to be more emotionally in-tune, so this time’s theme is films that make me FEEL SOMETHING! that makes it sound like its going to be really deep but there’s a lovely range of emotions in there! some make me feel sad, some make me feel seen, and they all make me feel like “holy s**t thats a good short film”

tickets are available now at the - i’m giving eventbrite a go and they have quite mad fees so apologies the tickets are a bit more! please still come.

I’m still working on the prog so no specifics just yet, but expect knights, wizards, and perhaps even a quest???

💅🎉BEST OF 2023 SCREENING! 👽👹

We’re back on November the 7th (not the 14th as previously stated) for our roundup of all the faves from this year - from all the way back in March to just a few weeks ago! In theory this will be the best one, so I’d recommend getting your tickets (at the ) asap!

If there’s anything you’ve seen this year that you want to see again, or any that you’ve missed and heard about - get in touch! We’re keen to know what went down well.

🎃 NEXT SCREENING 👽

Sorry to spook you on a Sunday evening, but Boxer Short Films’ HALLOWEEN SCREENING is just over a month away! Expect ghouls, goblins, and the like. (so far I haven’t found a film with dracula boxing a werewolf, but there’s still time!)

Our Halloween Screening at was where it all began 2 years ago, so it’s pretty near to our hearts. That is to say, come!

In case you weren't aware, we're back at Pan-Pan in Digbeth NEXT THURSDAY for another evening of animated films. This time we're off to the outer reaches of space and time in a Sci-Fi spectacular. Expect transforming robots, lost space-suits, and what it means to be conscious in an increasingly AI-dominated world.

we're heading to digbeth for our first (perhaps of many? who knows) at pan-pan!

It's been a while since their last screening and this time it's a FEATURE film! They’ll be showing the incredible CRYPTOZOO - a fantasy epic involving more monsters than you can shake a stick at. When the Cryptozookeepers discover Baku, a dream-eating creature of legend, they must keep it out of the hands of the military, and wonder whether to keep their mythological animals secret or open the Cryptozoo to the public.
