2020 was a year of new beginnings and many adjustments. We would like to thank our followers, artists and writers for all their support, and we would also like to express our regret at the delay in publishing the last zine issue. We're not perfect, but we're working hard in addition to our day jobs to hopefully be able to focus solely on Sauer in 2021! Wishing you all the wins—big and small—in the upcoming year. We can't wait to see more of your great work 💫

This pandemic has propelled many of us in some tough situations. This picture was taken by : "It has been 55 days of quarantine in Madrid. Me and my girlfriend go through anxiety attacks in our apartment. There's grief for the dead amidst disease and abandonment. Sometimes we fight and I can only find solace in the shadow play on the walls of the rooms she storms out of. These walls have only recently been conquered." Stay strong this too shall pass✨✨⁠⠀

a Berlin based designer and illustrator drew this amazing comic strip that propels us into another world. However, Elise was inspired by the current situation: “ I imagined how our world could be like if we all really did slow down...and not just in this surreal time we find ourselves in. I took the time I had in lockdown to visualize a new world, a new beginning and that gave me a new found sense of hope for the future of our world, change is eminent”

flew back to her homeland, Australia, and is currently stuck there due to travel restrictions. She has had to adapt and adjust to a lot of things but still finds the time to advocate for more sustainable practices in the fashion industry. Let's not forget the fashion industry remains the second biggest polluter in the world, and it emits 1.2 billion tonnes of CO2 every year.
