I’ve spent the past week trying to figure out how to articulate the recent events at the capital and I’ve struggled for many reasons but I’m gonna try with a long winded stream of consciousness: first off, the obvious stuff; a deranged group of lizard brained psychos who’ve spent the last four years yelling about how trump won and you need to accept that are now resorting to insurrection because they can’t handle that the big special boy lost. A group that always talks about how the left needs to accept responsibility for their actions is now trying to downplay these unprecedented actions and frame it as the left actually being the guilty party (which is unbelievably parallel to what the n***s did btw). People like Ted Cruz, Matt gaetz and many many other have egged this on for years at this point and should be held accountable through prosecution. One thing however, that I haven’t even seen much talk of even from the left, is the the new liberal establishment have allowed this to happen through complete inaction outside of finger wagging because of their dogmatic belief in “our institutions” they’ve done nothing of consequence to stop or slow down the blatantly dangerous and ramping actions of these extremists. We do not need “a return to normalcy” or “compromise” because the opposition does not want that and the reason magas do not understand the gravity of what they did because they’re politically illiterate and have never faced a consequence; they believe that they are untouchable because democrats have allowed them to be for four years. Biden is not going to come in and save everything, Biden is a massive example of what caused these material conditions through supporting bills like nafta and co authoring the crime bill, Biden is unabashedly pro corporate, pro Wall Street, and anti welfare programs. The wealth gap will continue to grow as we approach the inevitable financial crisis we will see within two years, he is unwilling to go far enough to make meaningful changes to the climate. These things will lead to more and more emboldened actions from far right maga cultists and all that will happen is him tweeting about how this isn’t America as if this hasn’t become an everyday reality for working class people. Nothing will change because the liberals do not want change as they make concerted efforts to push out the poor and working class; we need to organize, we need to strike, we need to fight

He had brilliant critique that was easy to understand and offered realistic and pragmatic solutions to some of our biggest problems. A man who always spoke out to injustice and a personal hero. Anybody who thinks the push to get kids back to school is for their benefit is delusional. The government wants to risk teachers, students and their families lives so that parents can get back to work making profits for capitalists, instead of holding off until its actually safe for everyone to return to school.

Hey gang, just wanted to give an update with our inactivity: with the Rona things have been kinda wild and we obviously haven’t put out a new episode in quite a while. Between having a kid and both still being essential workers it’s been kinda hard to coordinate but hoping to get a new episode out at some point in July/ get back into a consistent schedule. Obviously there’s an absolute ton to talk about since our last episode and we’ve got a lot to say.
