POLICE REMEMBRANCE DAY - This time last year, I was preparing to capture a rare event on the calendar. I had the great pleasure of being chosen as the the official Photographer for the NSW Remembrance Day Ceremony. The highlight of the night was the lighting up of the Opera House sails in not only Blue but also with the NSW Police Force Ribbon. This was apparently the first time the Ribbon had been displayed on the Opera House sails, so it was a very momentous event! This year marks yet another tough year for our NSW Police Force with COVID just adding to the pressures of the job.

A LONELY ROAD TO RECOVERY - A NSW Police Officer stands alone directing traffic in the Sydney CBD, much akin to how our NSW Police and NSW Ambulance Officers stand alone shouldering more than their fair share of the COVID-19 burden. NSW Police have now become the enforcers of the new COVID-19 restrictions, putting even greater pressure on their relationship with the community! I certainly understand that they have a tough job and are in a precarious postion. My hats off to all our emergency services workers out there doing their best in these times!

NORTH WEST RAIL LINK BRIDGE: I have been going under this Bridge at Rouse Hill (Sydney) for the last few years as the North West Rail Link has been shaping up. I have so badly been wanting to photograph this extraordinary rail bridge for so long but have never had time or the situation didnt allow it. Anyway I threw caution to the wind this morning and forced myself to try and capture it. Conditions were far from perfect but at least it has given me a starting point. With a short 2 hour of very quick and dirty edit this afternoon, this is how my first attempt has turned out. I will endeavour to capture it again and put some real effort into the edit next time!

Heres a photo of the Sydney CBD Foreshore including Circular Quay Ferry Terminal. I have highlighted the AMP building in the centre as that company has been embroiled in some controversy due to the recent Australian Royal Commission into Bank which discovered the company had been undertaking some unsavoury practices. So much so that several senior executives have quit and many may face criminal charges in the future.

SYDNEY OLYMPIC PARK SUNSET - Well I went to Wentworth Point tonight to photograph the Full Moon from the footbridge but due to cloud cover it was an EPIC FAIL! As I waited to see if the Moon was actually going to be visible, I noticed the most sensational sunset behind me. So I did the best I could to shoot some photos of Olympic Park behind me even though most of my vision was obscured by the bridge railings. To the left of the photo is the infamous OPAL TOWER in which all the residents have been evicted due to questionable strength in the building structure after massive cracks developed on Christmas Eve. Olympic Park is a hive of construction as you can see from the other high rise buildings going up in the same area.

I just downloaded the latest Overlay pack from RGG EDU and decided to mess around with a portrait I did of a mate a few months ago. I used 3 Haze Overlays (for the smoky look front and back) and 1 Light Leaks Overlay to produce (for the right side of his face) this interesting image. Let me know what you think?

AN ERRIE FOG PASSES OVER THE SYDNEY CBD last night!! I had organised a photoshoot with a mate of mine at the last minute last night and decided on going to Dudley Page Reserve in Dover Heights as I had been wanting to photograph from this amazing park for a long time. Well it happened to a really good night to shoot from there as this strange orange fog loomed over the CBD for about an hour and a half. It was moving fast from south and then just before midnight its direction changed to our direction in the east, spoiling the rest of the nights shooting. Anyway here is edit from last nights photoshoot with more to come!

Here's a picture I took a while ago, outside my normal News shift and have been working on for a while to get right. I had some troubles with colors in the image initially but I have finally got it to a point where its in a good state to post. The photo was taken at Rozelle Bay looking towards the Anzac Bridge with the Sydney CBD in the background. Let me know what you think!
