✨Album of the Week ✨
Double radio play for two of our artists this week on Chris Denerley’s Folk & Acoustic Show (Beyond Radio - North Lancashire)
Chris selected @handsoftheheron’s Quiet Light as Album of the Week and gave the first radio spin to unreleased track ‘Which Waters’ (watch to the end for a sneak peak) as well as new single ‘Pieces of Me’.
Thanks also for playing ‘Train’ by @something_sleeps (which we think feels like a bit of anthem in this week of Terrible News for Women).
Link in bio to listen to the whole show 👋
TONIGHT: @something_sleeps + @a.lou.byrd at @the_greenbank_pub
Doors 7.30, music from 8pm - tickets available via Headfirst and on the door. See you there!
One day to go til Fritillaries EP launch! Here’s a preview of the lush string section sounds…
Headfirst Bristol have selected is Editor’s Pick, and they say: “Stirring and melancholic home-grown harvest from the Cuculi family. Expect another night of alt-folk wonderment with Fritillaries wowing on guitar and banjo + delicate trumpet and folk cello classical crossover from Jow. Intoxicating pastoral sounds FFO: The Staves, Laura Marling, Johnny Flynn, ECM, Arthur Russell.”

Fritillaries - Harvest Moon
We're so happy to see Fritillaries getting a lot of love for her new single, including a feature article in Bristol24/7 🌙
'Harvest Moon' (out now) is the first single from upcoming EP 'Thank God I Have The Songs', and features Hannah Pawson's assured 60s-esque guitar sound underpinning her layered vocal harmonies and Robo Elliott's soft focus strings.
Next single 'As The Rain Falls' will be out on 21 June ahead of the full EP on 26 June 👀
Pre-orders for the EP are open now on Bandcamp, and tickets for her St Ambrose launch gig are onsale via Headfirst.
@franandflora sounding utterly glorious in St Ambrose church in Bristol! There’s still some tickets for the gig tonight on Headfirst / on the door - do NOT miss this one. Doors 7pm, @cirennemusic on at 7.30pm.
Cuculi Presents: Fran & Flora + Cirenne at St Ambrose (8 May)
Coming up on 8 May - Cuculi Presents Fran & Flora at St Ambrose Church (Bristol), with support from Cirenne.
With their long-awaited second album Precious Collection named The Guardian Folk Album of the Month, cellist Francesca Ter-Berg & violinist Flora Curzon create an otherwordly blend of Klezmer, contemporary classical and ambient electronics which we can't wait to experience in the atmospheric acoustic of St Ambrose.
Cirenne is an intriguing collaboration between two exceptional local musicians: violist Caelia Lunisss & trumpeter Celeste Cantor-Stephens, who'll open the night with a set of playful and evocative compositions.
