Naboo was a bountiful planet in the Chommell sector of the Mid Rim, in the Trailing Sectors and close to the border of the Outer Rim Territories. It was home to the indigenous Gungan species and to a population of humans known as the Naboo.

The origins of the Clone Wars dated back to the time of the Old Republic, which reigned over a millennium prior to the war. That era marked a dark age in galactic history, as the Sith battled their ancient enemies, the Jedi, for control of the galaxy. The Sith suffered from infighting, which ultimately led to their defeat at the hands of the Jedi, but although the Jedi believed they had vanquished their foes, the Sith had merely retreated into hiding. Darth Bane, the last surviving Dark Lord of the Sith, founded a philosophy known as the Rule of Two, which dictated that the entire Sith Order would be comprised solely of a master and an apprentice. Operating in the shadows, the Sith accumulated power and influence in preparation for the endgame of their grand plan: galactic domination and revenge against the Jedi.

The B2-RP super battle droid, was a B2-series super battle droid model used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. Engineered by the Techno Union, they were equipped with jetpacks which incorporated compact repulsorlifts.

Waroo, son of Chewbacca, was a slave for most of his childhood and toiled under the supervision of Commandant Dessard. The Empire controlled the Wookiees by using inhibitor chips which sounded like a song of fire and terror. On one occasion, Waroo witnessed a female friend dying while trying to scale the walls of the daubcrete bunker. Following the liberation of Kashyyyk by New Republic forces in 5 ABY, the inhibitor chips in Waroo and the other child slaves were disabled. While Dessard and his subordinates managed to reassert their authority by using shock-lances and blasters, Waroo was encouraged by the demoralized state of the Imperial slave masters.

Quinlan Vos became renowned, however, for his ability to experience the memories of other beings by touching an object a being had previously touched. This allowed him to develop skills as an expert tracker, and, as a result, often took missions that dealt with the criminal underworld. It was on one such mission that Vos met Aayla Secura, a Twi'lek who displayed a sensitivity to the powers of the Force. During the mission, Vos rescued Secura from a dangerous area on Ryloth. The maverick Jedi took Secura as his Padawan, the two formed a close relationship. Later, Vos would have a romantic attachment to Asajj Ventress.

During the Age of the Empire, IG-88 teamed up with Hondo Ohnaka to collect the bounty on Crimson Dawn lieutenant Qi'ra's head. Tracking Qi'ra down, IG-88 and Hondo managed to apprehend Qi'ra. Turning the bounty hunter and the pirate against each other, Qi'ra convinced IG-88 to collect the bounty on Hondo instead of the bounty on her. Attacking Hondo, IG-88 was quickly stunned and put in binders.

Gungi, who attained the rank of Padawan, managed to survive the Great Jedi Purge and kept acting as a Jedi during the early Imperial Era. Gungi constructed a lightsaber of his own with a wooden hilt that he chose from amongst the Crucible's store of materials.

As governor of the regions of space along the galactic frontier, he sought to enforce Imperial rule on restive worlds such as Lothal where rebel cells grew increasingly bold in their opposition to the Empire. Having retained the Emperor's favor in the New Order, Tarkin often worked alongside the Emperor's chief enforcer, the Sith Lord Darth Vader, whom he once knew as Skywalker.

Bib Fortuna was a male Twi'lek who lived on the desert planet Tatooine. He served as Jabba the Hutt's majordomo and chief of staff for decades, handling all of the day-to-day operations at Jabba's Palace. Following Jabba's death, Fortuna assumed control of his palace as a crime lord before being killed by the bounty hunter Boba Fett, who took over his throne.

By the time of the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Ohnaka was the titular pirate king of the Florrum-based Ohnaka Gang. Ohnaka's first entrance into the conflict was a major one, as he managed to capture the leader of the Confederacy, Count Dooku, as well as the Jedi Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. Despite the destruction of his base and a brief fracture of his gang, Ohnaka managed to survive the duration of the war.

During her childhood, Leia was taught by her father to appreciate the effort of Alderaan's workers, but also the importance of her duties as the planet's eventual queen. She would often stand alongside her parents, waiting through Alderaan's endless royal ceremonies, knowing that she could let no emotion show on her face. She considered her adoption by the Organas to be a privilege accompanied by duty and sacrifice.

The Sixth Brother, formerly known as Bil Valen, was a male member of the Inquisitorius. In the year following the end of the Clone Wars, the Sixth Brother, and the rest of the Inquisitors, hunted for Force-sensitive children as well as Jedi who survived Order 66. He accompanied Darth Vader, the Ninth Sister and the Tenth Brother to the planet Mon Cala to hunt an enemy of the Empire. He was killed by Ahsoka Tano during the uprising on Raada.

A Force-sensitive human female, Reva was once a Jedi who turned to the dark side of the Force following the Great Jedi Purge. During the Imperial Era, she joined the ranks of the Imperial Inquisition as an Imperial Inquisitor, and became known as the Third Sister, tasked with hunting the last of the Jedi Order. At some point, she became obsessed with finding the legendary Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and delivering him to the Lord Darth Vader in order to win his approval.

Obi-Wan Kenobi was born on the planet Stewjon in 57 BBY. A Force-sensitive individual, he was taken from his homeworld to the Jedi Temple on the Core Worlds planet Coruscant to be trained as a Jedi within the first six months of his life. In the crèche he was placed with other Jedi younglings in the Kybuck Clan during his early years, including his friends Gehren and Prie. Kenobi received basic Initiate training alongside his peers in the Jedi Order's Temple and began training in several simple Force techniques by the age of three in 54 BBY.

Hoth was a remote, icy planet that was the sixth planet in the star system of the same name, located in the Anoat sector of the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories. It was the homeworld to the primitive wampa species.

Dagobah was a remote, unexplored planet in the Dagobah system, and one of the purest places in the galaxy within the Force. A remote world of swamps and forests, it served as a refuge for Jedi Grand Master Yoda during his exile after the destruction of the Jedi Order.

Tython was a planet located in the galaxy's Deep Core region that played a pivotal role in the history of the Jedi Order. A verdant world that was incredibly rich in the Force, Tython was eventually abandoned when the ever-changing hyperlanes in the region drifted away from the planet and became shrouded in myth.

Korriban, known as Pesegam during the reign of Xim, and also known as Moraband by the time of the Clone Wars, was the sole planet in the Horuset system, located across the galaxy from Koros Major. It was the original homeworld of the Sith species and a sacred planet for the Sith Order, housing the tombs for many ancient and powerful Dark Lords of the Sith, and containing immense dark side power.

Members of the Inquisitorius were called Imperial Inquisitors, or simply Inquisitors, and were also nicknamed "Red Blades." They were tasked with hunting down the remaining Jedi who had survived Order 66 at the end of the Clone Wars as part of the Great Jedi Purge.

Considered level-headed and unflappably calm, Koon was among the wisest members of the Jedi Order. He was deeply concerned with every form of life. Koon also had shared a special bond with Ahsoka Tano, whom he brought to the Jedi Order as a toddler and continued to be an important mentor too throughout her time as a Jedi. Koon always thought about how to help others, even if he himself was tired or busy.

At a rate of two peggats per telling, Mos Espa marketplace vendor Jira would tell Nobot's tale—at least, her version of it. According to her, Nobot had been the only surviving witness to the murder of a young pregnant woman. Apparently, Nobot had initially been seen in Mos Espa decades ago, bearing scorch marks from blaster fire and covered in dried blood.

As a BD unit, BD-1 was bipedal, and had white plating with black sensors. Designed to assist with exploration in remote and dangerous locations, BD-1 was enthusiastic about research and data collection, but often disregarded self-preservation.

Darth Bane, born Dessel, was the Sith'ari and the Dark Lord of the Sith responsible for creating the Rule of Two. Born in 1026 BBY, he was raised as a poor miner on the Outer Rim planet Apatros. He was recognized as a Force-sensitive, and taken to the Sith Academy on Korriban.

Silently withdrawing from the Jedi Order, Kreia began to question her own beliefs as she took those who followed her teachings with her away from the Jedi. Some believed that she had followed Revan and his Jedi to war, but she instead traced her former Padawan's footsteps, searching for an answer that she alone could provide.

Darth Nihilus was a Human male who reigned as a Dark Lord of the Sith during the era of strife following the Jedi Civil War. Before becoming a Sith Lord, he lost everything during the Galactic Republic's war against the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders. He survived the activation of the Mass Shadow Generator superweapon during the war's final battle at the planet of Malachor V.

Darth Sion, the Lord of Pain, was a Sith Lord who lived in the time of the Old Sith Wars. As a Sith Marauder in the Great Sith War, Sion fought for Exar Kun's Sith Empire until the day he was struck down. Rather than die, though, Sion found that by calling on his pain, anger, and hatred, he could rise from certain death and achieve immortality, at the cost of all-consuming agony. With a body fractured and decomposing, but held together by the dark side of the Force, Sion survived the Great Sith War.

Thrawn hailed from Csilla, and made the first steps to his calling by becoming an officer in the Expansionary Defense Force of the Chiss Ascendancy in the Unknown Regions, where he demonstrated his ruthless commitment to eradicating any and all threats to his people. These early menaces included an advance force of scouts of the extra-galactic Yuuzhan Vong.

Zannah's preliminary Force training took place on the planet Ambria and involved the study of ancient Sith magic. In her tutelage under Darth Bane, Zannah executed a variety of missions designed to incite anarchist movements throughout the Galactic Republic, including manipulating the terrorist Anti-Republic Liberation Front into a botched kidnapping attempt on former Supreme Chancellor Tarsus Valorum.

A descendant of the legendary Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and Grand Master Luke Skywalker respectively, Kol was raised as a Jedi and trained to wield the Force. Along with his older brother Nat, he served as a Jedi Knight. When the Jedi Council of Seers saw Skywalker's importance to a mission with Imperial Intelligence agent Morrigan Corde, he was assigned to it. Serving with her, he fell in love. Though he knew that Corde's loyalties ultimately lay with the Empire, he understood and loved her nevertheless. They had a relationship for as long as two years, marrying secretly, before Corde gave birth to a son named Cade.

When the Yuuzhan Vong invaded the galaxy, Solo joined the New Republic military and distinguished herself as a Rogue Squadron pilot. She was constantly on the front lines of battle during the Yuuzhan Vong War, earning the title of Sword of the Jedi from her uncle, Luke Skywalker, and becoming known as an avatar of the Trickster Goddess Yun-Harla to the Yuuzhan Vong.

Named after his grandfather, Anakin Skywalker, as a child Anakin Solo often feared succumbing to the allure of the dark side and becoming a Sith himself. At the age of eleven, he attended the Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4, where he became fast friends with Tahiri Veila. Together, they enjoyed numerous adventures, which included freeing the imprisoned souls of Massassi children.

Kyle Katarn was a famous Force-sensitive Human male Rebel operative from Sulon and later a Jedi of the New Jedi Order. He was a former Imperial officer who defected to the Rebellion. Often paired with fellow Rebel agent and smuggler Jan Ors, he performed many covert missions for the Rebel Alliance and later the New Republic, including the sabotage of the Dark Trooper Project.

The Yuuzhan Vong War (25–29 ABY), also known as the Great War by the Yuuzhan Vong, was a near–apocalyptic war which arose when the Yuuzhan Vong, a nomadic warlike species which had long ago fled the destruction of its own galaxy, invaded the galaxy. After several decades of preparations, scouting and provocations, the Yuuzhan Vong entered the galaxy at a point codenamed Vector Prime and swiftly conquered much of the Outer Rim.
