Hey, Nicola here!
@rosietoespics and I record Pause and Play it Forward alongside our 'main' jobs, running businesses, being Mums and all the other stuff that lovely life can chuck at you... and WE LOVE IT.
Sometimes though, the sleep deprivation and multiple to-do lists can make you drop a ball.
Case in point: Episode 22's Top Five theme was "TV Themes (that existed already, and were used for the show) but my tired brain heard it as "Songs in TV Shows that were used to great effect".
So I went off on a random but happy research assignment and came back with five great songs... but only 1 was a theme. Argh!
On the other hand, Rosie's tracks were excellent, naturally, and she came up with some corkers!
One of my 'totally nothing to do with the theme' songs was Got To Be Real by Cheryl Lynn (the zoo-hoo version of course!).
It's used to great effect in Season 4, Episode 2 of Sex And The City (The Real Me) where Carrie Falls on the Runway and then back in her apartment.
To find out what other tracks I came up with - totally missing the brief - and to laugh at me, tune in to Episode 21 out now!
I redeemed myself though, hopefully, and this is my "proper" Top Five:
1 Cold Little Heart - Michael Kiwanuka
2 Who Are You - The Who
3 With A Little Help from My Friends - Joe Cocker
4 Lazlo Bane - Superman
5 Bad Things - Jace Everett
Can you guess the TV shows?
Tune in to Episode 21 - out now!
All of the Top Five tracks we chat about in the episode (real TV themes, random songs from TV Shows I came up with) are in Episode 21's Spotify playlist.
Love, Nicola xx
