Here we have it!
Episode 12 of season 5 and sadly… this will be the last of Big Smoke Music Weekly in its current setup 💔
After 5 years, growing from a radio show to a 5 season-strong podcast, it’s been an absolute ride. Over 60 artists interviews and over 60 episodes…
Luke has made the move down under, to seek out new adventures and of course, new music.
Fear not, as we sign off in style with our final episode…
Luke sits down for a huge interview with DMAs guitarist, Johnny Took, ahead of the release of the Aussie band’s 4th studio album, ‘How Many Dreams’ and a mega UK tour. Johnny opens up on the band exploring a new sound and remaining dynamic, as well as the need for the new album to not “stink of covid” as they seek out a defiant feeling within the new tracks.
There’s also a chat with Lenny, drummer from the ace upcoming Australian surfer-rock outfit, DICE.
PLUS
One last CloseUp 60 Seconds chat with the superb Pynch
Along with a trip back to a guest from season 1, Charlie Vaughan, as he embarks on a solo venture after the Weird Milk days
It’s emotional to think this is the end of what has been a beaut of a journey. Thanks so much to all of our listeners who’ve stuck by us for the entirety. It means the world 🌏
Tune in to what is one of our best ever episodes and keep an eye out for a new pod, coming from the land down under!🇦🇺✌🏻
