Traveling has become a passion for me, a way of life, a source of energy and inspiration. I always feel a rush of excitement whenever I book a flight or plan a new adventure. It’s like a drug that I can’t get enough of.But traveling is much more than just ticking off bucket list destinations or collecting passport stamps. Sundays are meant for late brunches and I have found your next perfect brunch spot in Mumbai ~ @gatewaytaproom @gatewaytaproom offers indoor dining and drinks and has the perfect late lunch or brunch ambience. The food was out of this world and I loved every dish we ordered. We ordered Prawns and Calamari Ajilio. This was my favourite dish and I repeat its a must try ! We also had Moroccan chicken flat bread which was delicious! The bread was thin and crispy and the cheese was just perfect ! We also had crispy and crunch onion rings and it was perfectly paired with our brewed beers! As the name suggests they have brewed beers and also beer based cocktails! We tried side Car ( apple cider ) and ginger lemon Radler which is a beer based cocktail! Absolutely loved the taste of the beer ~ the cocktail was mild and a little on the sweeter side ! We were too full with our appetisers and beers and decided to skip mains and directly go for desserts and what a decision that was!! I loved everything about this place but their desserts stole the show hands down! We tried the Financier ( almond cake with ice cream) ~ the almond cake had the most perfect consistency and texture! It was moist and paired creamy ice cream it was a match made in Heaven! We also order churros ~ the churros were pillowy from inside and had the perfect crunch! @zest_cafe_goa is one of the most popular cafés in South Goa! It has a wide range of food options both for vegetarians and non vegetarians! They are especially known for their vegan food! I tried their Pink Smoothie bowl and was honestly mindblown as I hate healthy food but this bowl wasn’t just health it was super duper delicious! Also tried their shakshuka which super authentic and tasty! They also offer a wide range of beverages but they are knows for their fresh juices and smoothies! Tried their Tropicana juice and iced coffee and must tell you I was very very impressed. Zest Cafe is quite a popular joint and have their outlet in Agonda as well. New Cafe Alert !!!!!Grounded cafe has just opened its doors and it’s one of the most beautiful cafés in Mumbai! It’s a few blocks away from Mannat ( you’re basically chilling with @iamsrk 😝)This should be your next coffee date night ! It has such a cozy and romantic atmosphere. They currently have only outdoor seating but I have personally always preferred outside seating! The food menu has limited options and the prices a little on the higher side . I personally didn’t try their food as I just went for late night coffee! But man their coffee is too good! I tried their Cafe Latte and it was indeed love at first sip!They have decorated the place beautifully and I loved the fact that I could see the sky and enjoy my coffee 💙I also tried one of the cruffins and it was out of this world! The pastry was flaky , sweet and has the right amount of crispness. Rajasthan Stays ~ Jodhpur edition ~ @upasana.naithani and I stayed in one of the most beautiful heritage properties in the heart of Jodhpur - Krishna Prakash Heritage HAVELI It’s a heritage property and has the best view of the Mehrangarh fort. The views from the rooftop cafe and hotel rooms are just stunning. They rooms are massive (most Rajasthan properties have big rooms) and has all the Morden amenities ~ fridge , ac , geyser etc! The room we stayed had a balcony with direct view of the fort. They have room service and the food ( especially the Rajasthani cuisine) was excellent! We tried the Rajasthani thali they had and we were mind-blown!! The property also has a beautiful rooftop cafe where you can sit , have coffee , read a book and the sunset views with a view of the blue houses and the fort! Oh I almost forgot the hotel also offers an indoor swimming pool ~ yep thank me later! Now after readying everything you guys must be thinking this will cost atleast 7-8k with all amenities but we booked the place via booking.com at 2.5k per night!!!!!!! I know I know you can thank me later 😝 We went during last September and the prices might differ during peak season but cmon it was steal deal for the amenities and the service they provided. The hospitality of this place was amazing and please don’t and I repeat DO NOT MISS the heritage walk that they arrange with Gajendar Ji! We had the best time exploring Jodhpur the next day! Dera Rawatsar Heritage Hotel is one of the most affordable hotels in Jaipur. It is in Bani Park area in Jaipur which is 5-10 mins away from city centre. We personally didn’t want to stay in city centre because it’s way too crowded but we also wanted something which would be accessible from all major tourist attractions. This is an old haveli converted into a hotel ~ the rooms are huge and the hospitality is 11/10. The food here is delicious and extremely affordable. And if all these weren’t enough they have a swimming pool too!!! I went here during September and I booked the room for 3.5k per night ~ which also included one way transfer from railway station/ airport. I absolutely loved my room ~ it was airy , spacious , felt very royal, ~ had two balconies and a bathtub ~ no I am not kidding !!!!! They also had complimentary breakfast which was very decent and if you are traveling early morning to some place they used to pack us Tiffin boxes( how cute is that ) 1. Hospitality ~ 11/10 2. Food ~ 8/10 3. Accessibility from tourist attractions ~ 10/10 4. Value for money ~ 9/10 5. It was in 2015 when @banerjeearchi and I first came to Mumbai ~ two young souls exploring this dreamy city ! It’s been 6 years or more and @banerjeearchi makes sure that she visits me every year (almost) ! When in Mumbai we have very fixed itineraries and people may think we are boring visiting the same places again and again but I like to call ourselves traditional. We have very fixed itineraries when she’s in mumbai! Bandra is one of topmost places in that list ~ Mumbai darshan is incomplete without visiting Bandra! This time @adri visited us and it was his first time in Mumbai ~ so we did all classic Bandra things!
