Bentley goes under the wing of Audi
The British brand Bentley will become part of Audi in 2021, the German publication Automobilwoche reported, citing its own sources. Another reshuffle within the Volkswagen group is aimed at cutting costs and getting out of the crisis for the British brand, which has suffered from both the coronavirus and Brexit.
According to the publication, despite the fact that 2019 was a successful year for Bentley (the company managed to earn a record 65 million euros), the brand's management had to revise its forecast for 2020 twice. Volkswagen is confident that under the wing of Audi the British brand will be able to quickly increase its potential. In addition, new Bentley models will receive platforms, components and assemblies developed by Audi.
Earlier it was reported that the Volkswagen concern intends to change Bugatti for a stake in the Croatian company Rimac Automobili. The Volkswagen Group does not want to spend more money on the brands Bugatti, Bentley and Lamborghini, which became the property of the concern under the former, now deceased chairman of the supervisory board Ferdinand Piëch. The Group intends to direct all its efforts and financial capabilities to electrification, digitalization and autonomous control systems.

A satchel that turns into a table is an invention for schoolchildren in India
PROSOC has developed convertible portfolios for children from poor areas in India. DESKIT satchels can be easily converted into tables, at which it will be more convenient for schoolchildren to read and write.
Currently, many schools in poor areas of India are still understaffed. Some educational institutions lack even such basic equipment as desks. Therefore, children have to write using the ground or knees.
India has a long tradition of sitting cross-legged, so this position is not unusual for children. But it is quite another to write in this position, bent over a piece of paper. This negatively affects posture, vision and overall health, as well as, ultimately, academic performance.
Therefore, the designers from PROSOC Innovators decided to create a satchel that could transform into a table. The idea for the portable desk came to developer Eshan Sadashivan after he saw schoolchildren trying to write on the floor.
DESKIT looks like a regular school bag. However, one side of the satchel folds out into a portable table that provides a sturdy writing surface. The table can be unfolded either attached to the knapsack or separately.
The company's website says: "We design innovative products for society." The creators of DESKIT see their mission in developing innovations to help people from the poor. They believe that the overall rate of development of an entire nation depends on the development of each of its individuals, and therefore strive to make positive changes in the lives of poor people in India.

Research: by 2024, electric cars will equal the price of cars with internal combustion engines
The Swiss investment bank UBS has published the results of a study that predicts a significant decline in the cost of electric cars in the coming years. According to the bank's analysts, additional costs for the production of battery models compared to cars with internal combustion engines will drop to $ 1,900 per unit by 2022, and will completely disappear by 2024.
These conclusions were drawn from a battery analysis of the seven largest battery manufacturers. By 2022, the cost of batteries may fall below $ 100 per kilowatt-hour, and given that batteries account for 20-25% of the cost of electric cars, the price tags will creep to the bottom and significantly.
UBS predicts that by 2025, electric cars will account for 17% of the market, and in another five years - 40%. After 2025, there won't be many reasons to buy an ICE car, according to UBS analyst Tim Bush. In addition, the reduction in the cost of the battery will stimulate the development of the hybrid vehicle fleet.
Another factor in favor of "green" cars will be bans on gasoline and diesel models. For example, Norway will introduce a ban on cars with internal combustion engines as early as 2025. In Germany, Great Britain, Ireland and the Netherlands, they will be banned in 2030, and in France in 2040. Independent automotive analyst Matthias Schmidt predicts that sales of electric cars and hybrids in the EU will reach one million in 2020, while a total of 11 million vehicles will be sold.

Audi has released the anniversary version of the TT RS coupe
The German brand presented the proprietary Quattro all-wheel drive system at the 1980 Geneva Motor Show on the rally coupe of the same name. The company celebrates the 40th anniversary of the system with the release of a special TT RS coupé called "40 Years of Quattro". The circulation of the "jubilee" coupe will be limited to a symbolic 40 units. All cars will be sold in Germany.
All TT RS 40 Years of Quattro coupes will be painted white with special decals inspired by the 1987 Pikes Peak winner of the 1987 Audi Sport quattro S1. The two-door was won by the two-time world rally champion and European rally champion in 1974, the German racer Walter Röhrl. For added visual impact, the bonnet, roof and rear fender decals are complemented by high-gloss black accents throughout the body.
