A great question to ask is "What does God expect of us?" or "What exactly must I do as a Christian?" While there are many messages given to answer these questions, none is more telling than the parables found in Matthew 25.

We'll be looking at the first parable many have titled "The Parable of the Ten Virgins".

-What details, within this parable, stand out to you?

-How does this apply to your Christian walk?

May the Lord bless us with wisdom and knowledge, concerning this parable, and we're looking forward to hearing all that He has given.

There is a Hebrew word that appears 11 times in the Old Testament, and all of these occurrences are in the book of Daniel. The word is be'ah (beh-aw'), and it means to ask, seek, request, desire, pray, or make petition. If there's one thing we know about Daniel and his friends, it's there constant dependency upon the Lord. In Daniel 2, Daniel and his friends find themselves in a situation that may cost them their very lives, so what do they do? They immediately go to God in prayer, to "be'ah" for His mercies. Is prayer our go to option, when we are faced with great trials? Can we see that everything we need is found at the Master's feet? God is our firm foundation, and when we build our house on the Rock of our salvation, no flood, rain, or wind will ever bring us down. Let's seek the Lord in everything we do! May the Lord bless you throughout your life.

General Faith and Personal Faith

Background and Introduction
☆The letter of Hebrews was written to encourage the Christians during a very trying time. One could definitely say that their faith was being tested. This is why, in the letter, many principles of faith are talked about throughout it's pages. One particular page is Hebrews 11, which some refer to as "The Hall of Faith", and this is where our study will come from.
"General Faith" is common among all believers. This is that faith which says, "God I know You are real," "I know You are mighty," and "I know You are able!" We recieve this faith, as we read His Word.
Then, there is "Personal Faith". This faith has to do with what God is instructing us as individuals to do. This faith is also received by His Word.
As we read Hebrews 11, we will see clearly how all believed in God (General Faith) and how all had seperate instructions from God to believe in (Personal Faith).
