We (as in the Royal We) are overjoyed at the new album by comrade Vulpine Smile. What are you waiting for? We got our copy already
33 track album
Vulpine Smile has contributed with another fine ditty to make your eyeballs bleed with glee. Personally this is a bit of a mixed bag, there is some fine stuff but some utter turkeys. You got to have a heart of stone to not to chuckle at Dreamcrusher. Still the Vulpine Smile is worth the price of admission
44 track album
I really hate that view that old blinkered view that Nico was just this wasted ju**ie whose work was just a product of John Cale's production or that her singing was just a mere monotonous drone over a harmonium. She was in spite of the he**in addiction, a really radical singer and songwriter with a vision as unique as Lou Reed or John Cale. There was more to her than just the blonde model that Warhol introduced to the Velvet Underground

One of the best live albums ever, up there with James Brown's Live at the Apollo or Deep Purple's Made in Japan

One of the most visual arresting videos that crystallizes what early industrial music was all about before it became synonimous with the arena schlock rock of NIN and their ilk, or the naff synth pop with "dark" vocals. In a certain way this is the live at Pompeii for industrial culture and it captures really well the raw chaotic appeal of the early Neubauten live experience as well as the ongoing process of some kind of order emerging from the chaos, the growing confidence of the untutored.
F**k me! This sounds like a couple of months filled with excellent gigs... Sun Araw, excellent though he is, I'll give a miss because I've seen him before. They should have made a night with Sun Araw + Eternal Tapestry...
Ace bill of fare over the next months for the Elephant and Castle venue
Some photos coming soon. Some sings of life to be expected soon
Angelscrapings reviewed on The thrill of it all blog
Frightening would be an inadequate word to describe the Vulpine Smile/James Bo***ge collab Angelscrapings. Sampling the classic horror film Night of the Living Dead with near the end of opener & #82...
A radio station that specializes in "Adult Contemporary Music", is that in the sense of Grown Up or in an X rated sense?
Having multiple personalities enables me to be both the record label and the artists on the label's roster
Taking a born out of circumstances no budget approach, embracing it and turning it into an aesthetic identity
I'm always sickened by those c***s that comment on those best of year so and so lists from music sites complaining that the selections are too obscure. Essentially they just want everything to be only the stuff that has the heavy PR and plugger machinery behind it. It's essentially we just want to hear stuff that has the big money behind it and f**k those that operate on a shoe string because they don't have funding behind them. They are the enablers of the triumph of music as an instrument for social conformity. of meekly hiding behind the safety in numbers
It was no surprise that the Seer would be at number 1. It's good to see that in this list you don't have all of the usual suspects that are the bread and butter of all other mags. Personally I think that Icon Give Thank should be higher on the list. Sun Araw is one of those musicians that proves that proper psych will never die. Good to see White Hills on the list. Robot Stomp rules!
Don't let the naysayers drag you down - we are currently living in a great age for music in myriad, fractured forms. Many of them can be found here, in our reductive and subjective list of the Quietus' favourite albums of 2012
I was there at the gig so this will be a pretty neat souvenir! Congoman Chant and Thanks and Praise were f**king transcendental. The latter was some pretty intense Cosmic Kraut Roots music that in its live setting was spellbinding.
Five-track EP , including 'Ark Of The Covenant', 'Open Up The Gate' and 'Fisherman'
Angelscrapings is now being streamed at the Quietus. Nice that they dug our sales pitch http://thequietus.com/articles/10960-listen-vulpine-smile-vs-james-bondage-angelscrapings

A smart machine will first consider which is more worth its while: to perform the given task or, instead, to figure some way out of it. Whichever is easier. And why indeed should it behave otherwise, being truly intelligent? For true intelligence demands choice, internal freedom. And therefore we have the malingerants, fudgerators, and drudge-dodgers, not to mention the special phenomenon of simulimbecility or mimicretinism. A mimicretin is a computer that plays stupid in order, once and for all, to be left in peace. And I found out what dissimulators are: they simply pretend that they're not pretending to be defective. Or perhaps it's the other way around. The whole thing is very complicated. A probot is a robot on probation, while a servo is one still serving time. A robotch may or may not be a sabot. One vial, and my head is splitting with information and nomenclature. A confuter, for instance, is not a confounding machine — that's a confutator — but a machine which quotes Confucius. A grammus is an antiquated frammus, a gidget — a cross between a gadget and a widget, usually flighty. A bananalog is an analog banana plug. Contraputers are loners, individualists, unable to work with others; the friction these types used to produce on the grid team led to high revoltage, electrical discharges, even fires. Some get completely out of hand — the dynamoks, the locomoters, the cyberserkers.

F**k professionalism and f**king dull inane corporate spiel, we want to be the Malcolm Tucker of record labels... or at very least that weird guy with Tourette's on your street corner
We got a suggestion from Twitter to follow Top Shop. It would be an interesting experiment to twit them every day: "You f**king tax evading c***s" and see what would be the result
