Meet Will — Praised for eclecticism and prolificacy, Will Roesner is an indie rock artist who writes music that is familiarly unfamiliar. Drawing inspiration from 90s pop and movie scores, Roesner emphasizes melody, and a “do-it-yourself” production style. Since 2018 Roesner has obsessively produced a handful of solo albums- many of which will never see the light of day. His sophomore effort, a 16 track album called “Spirit, Hello” saw the light on September 9th, 2022.

Meet Teddy — Through trembling synthesizers, guitars awash in reverb, and drums recorded on bedroom microphones comes Shmoo’s sympathetic falsetto, issuing lyrics of deep introspection and painfully raw expression. Moving from San Francisco to New Orleans and recording every instrument alone, Shmoo has devoted themself to this kind of aching and personal art, but in their creation you will hear no melancholy. Let us not mince words: in Shmoo’s music there is an inescapable affection for tenderness, and on top of this tenderness is constructed a baroque structure of layered instrumentation, enveloping harmonies, and a depth of feeling designed to create the community of peace and goodwill encapsulated in the music. Meet Maya — Maya Stone writes alternative indie pop, drawing inspiration from the likes of Alex G, Sufjan Stevens, Helena Deland, and Slow Pulp. Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Stone has been telling stories through her music for just about her whole life. Her songwriting is contemplative, and her delivery is sweetly hypnotizing.

Meet Wesley — Does he plumb the depths of human experience? Render visible yet unseen horizons? Definitively no, but he does not have to. Wesley’s music reverberates with the hum of his own neuroses and drips with the residue of his Memphis upbringing that, for those in the know, registers almost subliminally. His angular guitar riffs, disorienting song structures, and introspective lyrics—hauntingly soaked in dabs of distance and a drop of synthetic reverb—variously recall the litany of his admirable inspirations lurking behind every song. Elvis Costello, The Fall, Protomartyr, XTC, Wilco… must we go on? And despite proudly bearing on his sleeves the insignias of his influences, Wesley is an original. His voice is unmistakable, his riffs are undeniable, and his songs are categorically Sui Generis. So do we have call it Indie music? Of course we do. What the f**k else would it be?
