Over a hundred years ago, a war broke out that defined the selflessness of one nurse and reinforced humanity in the people’s hearts.
Hold my hand as I take you down the path of history.🛫
On the 12th of April 1861, the American civil war began, following the fact that 11 southern states separated from the United States. The Northern part made up 25 states and called themselves “The Union” because the didn't want the breakup while the southern states were called the “the confederate” because I believe they thought “is it by force to stay married to you?”They wanted a divorce.
The Northern part of the United States wanted unity and wanted the southern parts to remain part of them but ndi south said NO.
You know why?
The southern states wanted the freedom to run their country the way they wanted it because the northern states had abolished slavery and were against it. Somebody say WAR!
The civil war remains America’s deadliest war in history, about 600,000 soldiers died in that war ( I got this data from ducksters on the internet ).
It was in the heat of this war that one Nurse nearly lost her life. In today's world somebody would have tagged her “madam sabi-sabi” but I know it won't be you 😜
On a certain night when bullets were flying left, right and centre, screams and tears were deafening, it became impossible for wounded or dead soldiers to be moved into the small clinic were they were nursed. Lovers were losing their partners, children losing their fathers by the minutes but one selfless Nurse decided to do
