Whoa! It's been 5 years of streaming? Time flies so fast I didn't even realize it until it was brought to my attention! Stay tuned folks, I wanna still celebrate it so sometime this upcoming week I'll drop a proper planned stream.

Even if you ever spent even a few minutes in my stream, had a little fun, or have been watching for years, I wanna say thank you! So, Thank you! Thank you for being awesome! I know it's been a lot slower, but I still enjoy doing it....just over on Twitch now :p

I hope the next year continues to be chill, fun, welcoming, and a positive experience for both you all, and of course, myself!

The last couple of days I've been teasing at something that I've been up to with Fumz and today I'm excited to share with you our new gameplay channel: 2 Idiots Play!

It’s the end of yet another year, and like always, I like to reflect on it. Although this year is somewhat different. Why? Because I’ve officially moved to Twitch to stream. So let’s talk about some things that go with it.

This year has been one that has been filled with a lot of downs. But I’m not much of a downer so I don’t like to bring them up too often. Besides, it’s also a year that has opened up some new ideas. Thankfully, the downs have been all smaller ones, things I can manage, and stuff that’s addressable.

The most obvious issue I’ve had is that Facebook Gaming is sadly so bugged and unreliable that I don’t trust it to offer the basic functions. I had my alerts stop working with Streamelements, which was frustrating, I’ve not been able to raid for months, and often stars would just not work on the page. And that’s just from this year. Every year it’s been an issue in some form and I finally decided “why stay with something that keeps not working?” The result was that on my birthday last month, I decided to try my hand on Twitch. Is it permanent? Likely not. We’ve all seen how other streamers have gone, but a break from the breaking platform does sound nice.

And speaking of stars, or moreso, money, that has been a struggle this year. I won’t give you a sob story, but as money dries up on the streaming front, I’ve had to buckle down more to work. Doordashing being a primary source of income, though I’ve also been on the door to door scene as well. The real issue is that I spent too long shifting focus to making a living with Dashing so I am spending most of my income playing catch up on bills. This is a “I made a mistake,” and I know it’s on me. I should have shifted focus sooner. But again it’s minor, because I’ve been reflecting on it and am now trying to take the proper action to fix the problem. Why would all this matter to you? Well, I’m sure you’ve noticed I’ve not streamed nearly as much this year. Early in 2023 I realized I needed to drop from my 5 to 8 streams a week, and this is mostly why. I need to do what’s responsible.

The final other down that comes with from the other 2 is that because I’ve had these issues, it also means that I’ve been stressed more. Thankfully I’m keeping a clear head mostly, and as a result, I’ve been weathering trials as they come. I know not everyone likes that I’ve streamed less, or that I’ve switched platforms, but it is the course of action I’ve chosen in order to right the wrongs I’ve put myself in.

With those downers out of the way, I’ll also share with you some other things to come up this year, and what it means for 2024!

First, ThatSirNick and I started a Podcast! We call it Mashing Buttons. This month was only the beginning, and I can’t wait for more to come from it. It’s been such an enjoyable experience. My friendship with Nick feels like it’s already gotten so much stronger from the 4 episodes we’ve recorded so far (with #4 coming out tomorrow). Also, I’ve been experimenting with edited content on youtube. I’ve been posting things fairly sporadically, but as my editing skills improve, I hope to be faster and more efficient, so I can offer streams on my gaming channel in a smaller, watch at your leisure kind of way. Especially for those that can’t make the follow to Twitch. The Mario RPG video was a good example of that. Lastly, I’ve come up with an idea for a big project on my main youtube channel. It’s still in the works, but when it’s done, I’ll have over 90 videos being posted across over 90 days. I’m really excited for this, and maybe a little overwhelmed, but I like projects that I have goals for so this is a net positive to me.

For those of you out there that have stuck it out, or haven’t, or maybe just likes to swing by from time to time, or will following me to the Purple side, or won’t. Thank you for this year. I really want to make 2024 stomp on 2023. I want a stronger year for myself. Be it spiritually, financially, or anything else. I hope you all have a SUPER HAPPY NEW YEAR!
